These are not isolated episodes of Trumpian bluster. They are symptoms of a deeper structural crisis in the way US power manages its relationship with the rest of the world.

Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri denounced a statement by US envoy Tom Barrack, in which he bluntly advocated, earlier during the week, the annexation of Lebanon to Syria.
Berri described Barrack’s remarks as “a grave mistake and completely unacceptable”, warning foreign diplomats “not to threaten the Lebanese people”.
“It is utterly unacceptable to address the Lebanese people in this manner, especially by diplomats, and particularly by someone like Ambassador Tom Barrack,” the Lebanese politician said.

The right-wing controlled Congress, passed a bill last week that would allow convicted coup plotters to move to a less restrictive prison, for example, house arrest, and could reduce Bolsonaro's sentence from 27 to six years.

Palestine solidarity prisoners in Britain have entered a critical phase of their hunger strike, which they began more than 40 days ago. Pressure is mounting on the Labour government to respond to demands put forward by dozens of activists imprisoned for their direct action in support of Palestine.
Audrey Corno, of Prisoners for Palestine, describes the critical condition of the hunger strikers and the increasing support from the broader solidarity movement for the imprisoned Palestine Action members.
“Until our demands are met, we will resist,” wrote Qesser Zuhrah, one of the prisoners. “We ask our government now: are you willing to let us die before you stop arming a genocide?”
