👨‍💻 The U.S. Is Against International AI Control

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, during the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, called for the creation of a Global Fund on Artificial Intelligence.

It is meant to help build AI "that benefits everyone" and boost the industry in developing countries. The fund aims to raise $3 billion, which Guterres notes is a very modest price to pay for tackling such a massive task.

Also, the UN General Assembly has established an international AI panel composed of 40 leading world experts, tasked with making the technology accessible to everyone.

⚡️ The U.S., however, is strictly against this approach. White House technology advisor Michael Kratsios believes that placing AI under bureaucratic, centralized control will not lead to a bright future.

And U.S. Mission advisor Lauren Lovelace bluntly states that regulating AI is not the UN's business ⤴️

Red Bull released a special gaming edition of The Red Bulletin magazine. 150 copies feature a fully playable Tetris game on the cover.

The cover hides a 0.1 mm flexible PCB with 180 RGB LEDs forming the display. Controls use capacitive sensors printed directly on the copper layer: pressing the paper slightly flexes it for tactile feedback.

Gucci is getting slammed for using AI-generated images to promote their upcoming Milan Fashion Week show.

The brand openly admitted in the post that the image was made with AI. Still didn't save them from the backlash.

"Any luxury brands that used AI slop should not be consider luxury anymore."

A quote with this comment already has 60k likes, 100 time more than the original Gucci post.
