If we’re running deficits in good economic years, imagine how bad it will be in a downturn. Newsom’s budget proves why he shouldn’t be teaching anyone what to do unless it’s what NOT to do.

California: A San Jose police officer was shot and taken to the hospital after a carjacking sparked a multi-agency pursuit into San Benito County before returning toward San Jose.

Authorities said that around 2:37 p.m., a green Corvette was allegedly carjacked in San Jose. San Jose police were later able to locate the stolen vehicle using a tracking system.

A pursuit involving San Jose police then began and continued south to Hollister. In an update, the Hollister Police Department said that at about 3 p.m., Hollister police and San Benito County deputies were involved in a pursuit that resulted in gunfire.

Hollister police said the suspect abandoned the vehicle on Westside Boulevard while armed with a firearm, engaged with officers, then ran on foot and eventually took another vehicle.

Hollister Police said Westside Boulevard is closed from Central Avenue to Buena Vista Road, and Buena Vista Road to Locust Avenue, and will remain closed until further notice. Authorities asked the public to avoid the area.

After that confrontation, investigators said the suspect carjacked a second vehicle and drove north back toward San Jose.

Officials said the suspect was later involved in another shooting with police in the San Jose area, though it was not immediately clear which agency was involved.

As a result, officials said an officer was shot and taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

Megan’s body was found two months after she went missing at the house of an illegal immigrant, Jose Luis Mendoza-Gonzalez. He hid Megan in a bleach filled trash can on his yard, only a few dozen feet away from where volunteers searched and hung posters.

Sanctuary policies failed Megan Bos as they have failed countless Americans who should still be alive with us today. Restoring law and order means that not a single other American has to lose their life because of someone who shouldn’t even be here in the first place.

The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office is deeply saddened to report the tragic death of one of our own.

Louisiana: At approximately 8:00 a.m. this morning, Deputy Tim Jordan, a four-year veteran of the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, was struck by a train while working a traffic assignment. Preliminary information indicates Deputy Jordan may have misjudged the proximity of his vehicle in relation to the train track.

Deputy Jordan was immediately transported to Ochsner LSU Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington stated, “This is an extremely difficult day for the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Jordan’s family, and his fellow deputies. Deputy Jordan was a dedicated public servant who took pride in protecting the citizens of Bossier Parish, and his loss is deeply felt throughout our agency and community.”

NEW: Barron Trump is being credited with saving a woman's life after she was being attacked by her ex-boyfriend in the UK, according to Metro.

The revelation came from the woman, who told a London court that Barron Trump's quick thinking saved her life.

According to the report, 22-year-old Matvei Rumianstev became jealous of his girlfriend's friendship with Barron and started assaulting her.

Barron reportedly picked up a FaceTime call to see Rumianstev allegedly beating his friend.

Barron then jumped into action and called UK police at '999' to tell operators that his friend was being assaulted.

Snaresbrook Crown Court played the audio in court where Trump's youngest child was reportedly heard saying: "I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up."

Barron gave the police the woman's address before saying, "It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up."

"She called me. I picked up the phone expecting a nice hello or something," Barron reportedly told police.

"I just saw a ceiling and could hear screaming. I could see a guy’s head on the phone, and then the camera turns to her crying and getting hit."

"I called you guys; that was the best thing I could do. I wasn’t going to call back and threaten things to him because that would just make the situation worse."

The woman said the call to Barron Trump was "a sign from God" as she explained to jurors how Barron would call her.

"She told jurors ‘he would call me’ and that she missed ‘a few’ from him before the call, which eventually connected and led to him calling the police," Metro reported.

"He helped save my life. That call was like a sign from God at that moment," she said.
