UPDATE: A freight train derailed in south suburban Blue Island, Illinois, Wednesday night.

Crew remained on the scene Thursday morning, working to clear the train cars that derailed. It is expected it to be a slow, painstaking task.

CSX released a statement saying< "At around 9:24pm, a CSX train derailed 13 cars in Blue Island, IL at the Thornton, Rd and 136th street crossing. There were no hazardous materials involved. There were no injuries as a result of the incident and no leaks or spills. CSX appreciates the swift response of the local first responders. Safety is our top priority as we work to clear the crossings impacted by the incident and fully restore the area. The cause of the incident is under investigation."

Virginia: missing for three years.

The Waynesboro Police Department found two girls, Hanna Joy Lee and Sky Deborah Rex, safe and sound. They confirmed that their mother has been taken into police custody after turning herself in. Her first court appearance is today.

Please pray for the two Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Officers who were shot this afternoon in the line of duty.

The officers were shot at around 12:45 p.m. while working in the area of 30th Street and Post Road.

Both officers were transported to Eskenazi Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, IMPD said in a tweet.

Eskenazi officials declined to provide a statement on the health of the officers.

IMPD has not shared any suspect information and no arrests have been made.

On Tuesday, Nogales CBP officers stopped a car containing 14.90 lbs of fentanyl powder and approx. 423,400 fentanyl pills in the seats and panels of a car, port director Michael Humphries reports.

Later in the day, officers seized approx. 440,200 fentanyl pills and 65.83 lbs of meth in a hidden compartment in a vehicle.
