PRAYER
Sovereign Lord, we praise Your Holy name and thank You for being our eternal King, unchanging as our world shifts. We humbly confess our anxieties and doubts, asking for Your forgiveness and renewed trust in Your promises.
We pray for Your divine protection over those You are raising up to lead us in our earthly world. That You equip them with Your truth and strengthen them with unwavering faith according to Your perfect will. Surround them with Your shield of protection, O Lord.
And we pray that Your Holy Spirit be our Comforter in uncertainty, to guard our families from spiritual attacks and to help us fix our eyes on You rather than the circumstances that worry us.
In this time of change, Father, grant us the courage, clarity and strength we need for our daily responsibilities, while Your peace that surpasses understanding guards our hearts and minds.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we thank You that through Your grace, we are called Your precious children. As John wrote, "Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!"
We pray to You for Your protection over our beloved families - our spouses, our children, our family pets, and our loved ones.
Lord, as Your Word teaches us, there is no greater joy than to see our children, young and grown, walking in Your glorious truth. Father, we desire to bring You joy by walking faithfully in Your ways, and we ask that You fill us with Your Holy Spirit to guide us according to Your perfect will. Grant us the blessing of experiencing this same joy as we shepherd our families according to Your Word.
Today we pray for these things and the strength for our daily responsibilities. We ask that You shield us from the attacks of the evil one with Your mighty armor of Truth. Help us to be faithful stewards of the precious relationships You have entrusted to us on Earth, that all generations may grow strong in faith and knowledge of Your Blessed Word.
We pray this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
As Your beloved children, redeemed by Your grace, we gather today victorious, standing firm in the stronghold of Your presence. Your Word promises "grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God," and so we seek Your presence with this prayer.
We pray for our newly elected leader in our earthly world, asking for Your divine protection and guidance over him. Grant him wisdom as he leads our nation toward the healing and renewal that only You can provide.
During this season of change in our country, as winter approaches and the world celebrates, though often falling short of Your perfect will, we pray that You guide us with the wisdom to draw our families closer together and closer to You. Let us lead by example as we seek to restore Your ways in our land.
Father, You tell us we were wonderfully made; grant us Your strength to use the talents and gifts You've bestowed upon us to restore our nation's righteous foundations. As You equipped Your faithful ones throughout the ages with knowledge and wisdom, empower us to fulfill our daily responsibilities with excellence and grace, transforming our homes, cities, and communities for Your glory.
We pray for all this through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

PRAYER
Holy Father, as the world turns its thoughts toward celebrations, we pray to You on this day, remembering the magnificent gift of Your one and only begotten Son, who left His heavenly throne to take on human flesh.
While we rejoice in Your truth every day of the year, we are heartened when those we love among our friends and family turn their thoughts toward Him during this season, reminding us anew of the miracle of the incarnation.
Lord, even as the world around us follows its own traditions, help us to remain steadfast in Your Word and devoted to Your truth.
Guide us by Your Holy Spirit to be Your faithful witnesses, sharing not seasonal sentiments, but the eternal message of repentance and salvation through Christ alone, who died for our sins and rose again.
Though we often fall short of Your glory, we are forever grateful that through His perfect sacrifice, we are made righteous in Your sight.
May our lives reflect Your light in these dark times, and may we use every opportunity - including these days when hearts may be more receptive - to share the unchanging truth of Your Son's redemptive purpose.
In the mighty name of the greatest gift ever given to humanity, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we pray to you again on this day for strength to seek first Your kingdom in this season, and we gather now to hear Your Word.
Having asked for Your guidance in using these days as opportunities to proclaim Your truth, we come ready to receive Your instruction. May Your Word pierce our hearts and transform our priorities, that we might glorify You in all things, just as we sought in our morning prayer on this day.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
SCRIPTURE
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
DEVOTIONAL
My friends, in Matthew 6:33, our Lord Jesus gives us a profound command that cuts through the noise of this world: "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness."
This isn't merely a suggestion, but rather the fundamental reordering of our lives that Christ demands.
While scholars may debate the precise date of our Lord's birth, and some may rightly point out how secular forces have reshaped what was once purely sacred in to an earthly holiday called "Christmas," we must remember that our calling transcends these earthly disputes.
Consider how Paul, in Athens, used even pagan altars as opportunities to proclaim the living God. Similarly, while the world around us engages in seasonal festivities and commercial exchanges, we are called to a higher pursuit - using these moments when hearts may be more receptive to share God's truth.
The world marks these days with temporary celebrations, yet we are called to proclaim an eternal truth: that God sent His only begotten Son in human flesh for our redemption. Notice how Jesus links these two concepts: the kingdom and righteousness.
We cannot truly seek His kingdom while clinging to our own righteousness or worldly traditions; instead, we must embrace the righteousness that comes through Christ's sacrifice alone. This seeking isn't a casual inquiry, but rather a wholehearted pursuit that shapes every aspect of our lives.
When millions of our fellow Americans turn their thoughts toward Christmas, even imperfectly, we have a divine opportunity - not to condemn their incomplete understanding, but to lovingly guide them toward the full truth of God's Word.
When we align our priorities with God's kingdom - when we hunger for His righteousness more than cultural customs, when we value His truth above seasonal sentiments, when we pursue His purposes above our own plans - then we become effective witnesses to His glory.
In Matthew 6:33, "and all these things shall be added to you" isn't a prosperity promise, but rather the assurance that our Father knows exactly what we need when we live in proper relationship with Him, focused on the eternal rather than the temporal, using every opportunity to draw others to His saving grace.
May the Lord strengthen you to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, as this holiday season commences in North America and many parts of the world. Grace and peace to you in our Lord Jesus Christ.

PRAYER
Holy Father, as we pray to You on this day, we thank You that Your truth remains unchanging through all seasons. We rejoice not so focused on the earthly holidays around us, but more in the eternal reality of Your One and Only Begotten Son's incarnation, which is precious to us every day.
And as hearts turn toward thoughts of Your Son during this season, each in their own earthly ways, Lord, we pray again as we did last week. Grant us wisdom to use these moments as opportunities to guide our loved ones toward Your perfect truth, just as You used a star to guide seekers to the newly born Child.
Father, among these moments of softer hearts on earth, we pray for American families torn apart by worldly divisions and political tensions in recent years. As Your Word teaches us to love one another as You have loved us, may Your Holy Spirit work in hearts hardened by earthly concerns, that brothers and sisters, parents and children might be reconciled through Your love.
Let Your peace that passes all understanding guard our hearts and minds, empowering us with the tremendous patience and strength necessary to be reconciliatory healers within our families, extending the same grace and forgiveness to our loved ones that You have shown us, according to the teachings of Your Son, the greatest of teachers.
Guide us to be faithful witnesses of Your truth in all seasons, pointing always to Your Son's redemptive work, not just His birth, but His perfect life, ministry, tragic death on the cross, resurrection, and promised return.
In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.
friends, note that today's prayer for forgiveness and reconciliation focuses specifically on our families and cherished relationships. discussions about the correctness, or not, of forgiveness generally in social or political contexts is probably a conversation for another day in the future.
All of us from the Jeff.pro channel wish you the happiest of times during this holiday season and throughout the new year!

NEW YEAR’S PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we pray to you beaming with gratitude in this New Year cherishing the precious truth, reflecting on our amazing reality that You call us Your beloved children. Each breath we take reminds us of Your faithful care, and we rest in the assurance of Your perfect love and divine protection.
We thank You, Lord, for Your guidance in that defining moment in earthly history, liberating us from the corruption of a distant so-called 'King' who taxed without representation and denied Your people their God-given liberties. Though we have witnessed human frailty and the work of evil in those who twisted Your perfect design for their own gain - even as recently as the past four years - we see Your sovereign hand guiding Your children to establish righteous self-governance, from the moment our founders declared independence to this very day, through these sacred institutions as instruments of Your justice.
And what a blessing to glimpse Your perfect order in their intended purposes. Thank You for the gift of living in a land where we can worship You freely and raise our families under Your guidance.
We are grateful, Lord, for the wisdom and courage You provided our forefathers as they established this nation under Your providence, and for the continued strength You give us to honor and protect our precious liberties.
Thank You for anointing us as protectors of these divine freedoms, that we will endure in preserving them for ourselves, our children, and generations yet unborn.
Father, as we stand at the threshold of this coming week, we earnestly seek the flowing rivers of Your strength to sustain us as You so faithfully do. By Your Holy Spirit, we pray that you grant us heavenly wisdom and unwavering courage as we fulfill our sacred duties. Watch over our beloved children with Your vigilant care, shelter our homes beneath Your protection, and guide our path according to Your perfect and providential will.
Lord, as each day brings us closer to our eternal home, our hearts grow ever more thankful for Your unfailing promises. Just as You guided our nation to choose independence anew when foreign powers sought to draw us back into their fold, we trust Your continued providence over our sovereign destiny. We find peace in Your perfect love, knowing that every tear will be wiped away and every wrong will be made right when we dwell in Your presence forever.
Until that glorious day, we embrace the calling to be faithful witnesses of Your grace and living testimonies of Your transforming love, grateful for Your goodness and filled with quiet joy as we anticipate our eternal home in Your presence.
In Jesus' precious name we pray,
Amen.

DEVOTIONAL WRITING
Living Out Our Faith: Good Works for His Glory
When we talk about good works in the Christian life, there's a beautiful truth that changes everything: we don't work to earn God's love – we work because we already have it (Ephesians 2:8-9). Think about that for a moment. The pressure's off. We're not trying to stack up enough good deeds to "tip the scales" in our favor. Instead, we're responding to the incredible gift of grace we've already received.
Remember what Paul wrote to the Ephesians? We're God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. Notice the order there – first comes our new creation in Christ, then come the good works. It's like a fruit tree. A healthy apple tree doesn't strain and struggle to produce apples to earn its place in the orchard. It naturally bears fruit because that's what healthy apple trees do (Matthew 7:17).
The same is true for us as believers. When we truly grasp what Jesus did for us on the cross – when it sinks deep into our hearts that we've been rescued, redeemed, and made new – good works flow naturally from our transformed lives. We serve others because we've been served by the King of Kings, the Prince of Peace. We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). We give because we've received beyond measure.
But here's where it gets even better: when we do good works from this place of grace, it brings glory to our Father in heaven. People see our lives and catch a glimpse of God's character. Our acts of kindness, our words of truth spoken in love, our willingness to serve – they all point to the One who saved us.
So let's step out in faith today, not weighed down by "religious duty," but lifted up by grace. Let's serve joyfully, give generously, and love deeply – not to earn anything, but to show the world what our amazing God is like. After all, isn't that what it's all about? Living our lives in such a way that when people see our good works, they glorify our Father in heaven.
That's the heart of it all – everything we do, we do for His glory, in Jesus' name.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we pray today while grateful for the historical sacrifice of our veterans who understood that freedom is not free in our beloved nation, which You so gracefully blessed since its founding, when our divinely appointed forefathers, guided by Your eternal and sovereign Biblical truths, established our cherished land of liberty with Your mighty providential hand upon our United States Constitution.
May Your blessings remain upon this great nation, one nation under God.
In this season of new leadership, mindful of our need for sanctification, we pray for Your divine power to strengthen and purify our nation's testimony to Your glory.
We pray that You grant the incoming administration the strength and discernment they need as they rebuild our military forces that were weakened by the enemy's schemes during the prior administration. O Lord;
We pray that You guide them to make the righteous decisions that secure our children's future and restore Your favor upon this great nation You have given us. And,
May their actions align with both Your will and the earthly mandates set forth by We the People, the overwhelming majority of voters in our recent election season, to honor those who sacrificed in our nation's history so that we would have the right to vote and live and to worship You freely.
We offer these prayers in faith, Father.
Lord God Almighty, let Your divine blessing forever rest upon these United States of America.
In Jesus' name we pray,
Amen.

PRAYER
Father of all wisdom, by Your Son's redemptive power, we pray to you as Your divine hand moves across our nation like morning light breaking upon the mountains.
We pray that You pour forth Your Spirit of Truth like living water through the chambers where our leaders gather. In this spiritual battle, where darkness seeks to eclipse Your light, arm us with Your full armor as we stand against the forces of evil.
Let Your Word, sharper than any two edged sword, pierce through the halls of Congress and our Supreme Court, where decisions will echo through generations like thunder across the valleys of time.
May Your Spirit move like a mighty wind through the hearts of men, drawing many to salvation through faith alone in Christ our Savior. Restore the sacred bonds of family You ordained from creation's dawn, that our children may be guided by Your eternal truth, like stars set firmly in Your celestial crown.
And we pray that You guard our nation's borders with Your mighty hand, for the house built upon Christ our Rock stands unshaken. In these days of trial, multiply Your provision like rivers in the desert.
Make us steadfast witnesses, bold as lions yet gentle as doves, defending the Godly heritage You bestowed, all for Your eternal glory which shines like the morning star across the ages.
In the mighty name of Jesus.

PRAYER
Gracious Father, our Shield and Defender, as we gather in Your Holy presence, we remember Your promise that where two or three are gathered in Your name, there You are among us.
Lord, we pray today for our children before Your throne of grace, for You have shown us through Your Word that the kingdom of heaven belongs to those such as them. Grant us, we pray, Your perfect wisdom and steadfast courage as we guide the next generation in Your unchanging truth.
And we pray that You pour out Your Spirit of discernment upon those who protect our communities and preserve our freedoms. As the early church stood firm in troubled times, strengthen these modern day public servants to uphold justice with mercy and righteousness with compassion.
As Your faithful witnesses in a changing world, we stand secure in Your promise that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church. Shield our families from the storms of confusion that surround us, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ our Savior.
Grant us grace and strength to be Your ambassadors with both truth and love, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. May we speak Your truth with the gentleness of shepherds and the wisdom of the Spirit.
Unite us through Your Holy Spirit, reminding us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness, which You have already conquered through the cross and resurrection.
We rest secure in Your faithful care, trusting that You who began a good work in us, in our families, and in our nation, will carry it to completion until the day of Christ’s return.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray,
Amen.

Sovereign Lord, our Rock and our Fortress, as we gather in Your sanctuary today, we remember Your word that "children are a heritage from the Lord." Shield them under Your mighty wings as we guide them through these challenging days, helping them stand firm in Your eternal truth.
Lord Jesus, as Your church faces misunderstanding and scrutiny in these times, pour out Your spirit of discernment upon us. When confusion surrounds us, let Your peace that passes understanding guard our hearts and minds. Help us respond with both grace and truth, showing forth Your light with conviction yet compassion.
Holy Spirit, strengthen our fellowship as life's pressures mount. Unite us in love, that we might bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. Grant us wisdom as we navigate new policies and mandates that test our faith.
Remind us, Father, that while we live as faithful citizens in this land, our ultimate citizenship is in heaven. In times of testing, help us remember that Your church has always flourished even in trials, bearing witness to Your gospel with boldness and love.
In the precious name of Jesus we pray,

Heavenly Father, in this season of spiritual reflection, we come before You with hearts both humbled and emboldened by Your works. As You have shown Your protective hand in miraculous ways in recent times, we stand, as always, in awe of Your sovereign power.
In these days of testing, when Your truth faces unprecedented assault in our courts and classrooms, we remember that Your Son faced every temptation yet remained faithful. Your recent intervention in protecting Godly leadership reminds us that You are still working powerfully in our nation.
Lord, as social platforms attempt to silence Your people and new policies threaten our religious liberty, we witness Your Spirit moving with greater power. Just as the early church grew stronger under opposition, we see You raising up bold witnesses who cannot be silenced.
We pray that You pour out Your Spirit of discernment upon Your people. When our children face confusion in their schools, when our faith is labeled as "hate," when our voices face censure - strengthen us to stand firm like the apostles who rejoiced to be counted worthy of suffering for Your name.
We thank You for the awakening we see across our land, as more hearts turn to seek Your face. Though earthly powers scheme and platforms may restrict Your truth, we rejoice that Your Word cannot be silenced.
In the mighty name of Jesus we pray,
Amen.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, our Refuge and Strength, in this season of reflection, we witness Your unchanging faithfulness even as the world shifts like sand beneath our feet.
Strengthen us now as we confront challenges to our faith in today’s public squares. When digital towers fall and platforms seek to mute Your truth, remind us that Your Word stands eternal, unshaken like mountains You set in place.
As creation awakens to spring's promises, we pray for a mighty revival in our nation. Pour out Your Spirit upon our courts and chambers of power, upon our schools and communities. Let Your truth pierce through darkness like the first light of dawn, transforming hearts once hardened against Your ways.
Holy Spirit, as recent days have shown us the fragility of earthly systems, we pray that You unite us in deeper fellowship. Guide us to be wise stewards of Your resources, first strengthening our nation under Your providence, then reaching out with true Christian charity to those allies who share our values and faith. Let this be a new season of authentic partnership and fellowship, free from wasteful schemes of men.
Father, we especially pray for our children and families. Shield them from ideologies that assault Your design for human flourishing. As confusion spreads through screens and classrooms, let Your wisdom flow like rivers in the desert, guiding them in paths of righteousness.
In this sacred season of preparation, purify Your church like gold tested in fire. Though powers scheme to silence Your people, embolden us as witnesses who speak truth with love, standing firm yet extending grace, just as You have shown us grace.
We rest in Your sovereign care, knowing that You who stilled the storms can calm these troubled waters, working all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
In the mighty name of Jesus our Lord,
