Qualche giorno fa sono stato fra i primi firmatari di una petizione che ritengo sacrosanta: quella per chiedere la scarcerazione di Simone Isaia, 32 anni, il senza fissa dimora responsabile dell’incendio che ha distrutto l’opera “Venere degli stracci” in piazza Municipio a Napoli.
È quasi un mese che quest’uomo è a Poggioreale, è incensurato e nella sua cella sono in 7. Sono sconvolto: perché è in galera una persona che necessità evidentemente di cure?
I volontari della mensa del Carmine dicono questo : «Fino a 4 anni fa Simone Isaia lavorava come garzone in un bar di via Chiaia ed era più che apprezzato dai clienti per i modi cortesi. Poi qualcosa in lui si è rotto, si è perso e nel corso degli anni, le sue condizioni mentali sono peggiorate».
Ieri il tribunale del Riesame ha confermato il carcere.
Chiedo a voi se sia possibile una stortura del genere.
Vi lascio il link alla petizione, ma più che una firma può la protesta. Anche verso quella Amministrazione Comunale che sta tacendo in maniera assordante su questa vicenda.
