In my region in southern Italy, when someone we know has a family death, in the following weeks we go visit them at home and bring one pack of coffee and one of sugar, possibly with other stuff like sweets if the relationship is close.
This practice is called cuonzolo, to console, and we do it because we think that the mournings have no time or energy to care about themselves and may need some stuff to cheer up; additionally, it's customary to offer coffee to guests, so it's a way to assure that they don't run out of stuff they might need when other guests come to visit

Consumerism always makes me uneasy, but the Stanley cup popularity has a particularly sour taste in my mouth, because all it took was a cute pink limited edition (yeah I know, it being cute is debatable, but not the point) and people apparently forgot about the Starbucks boycott to run and buy it.
Solidarity really just works until it inconveniences us, and all it takes for us to be inconvenienced is a pretty shade of pink. Depressing

This but with McDonald's and its Sanrio Yu Gi Oh collab
"But they never have stuff as cute as this!" well, maybe it's time to wonder why
Also ffs get a grip, have you got any idea how much Sanrio stuff of any kind there is on the internet?
Collabs, collections, anything, it's literally a brand of collectibles cutesy things. You will never have it all, you don't even want to have it all, why does it have to be the McDonald's ones you choose?
(No, the price is not an acceptable answer, if you only go to Miniso that's your skill issue, cheap stuff is very easy to find, trust a girl who knows her Sanrio)
Editing to add that it's a rhetorical question, I couldn't care less about your answer 💋
