Ouran Host Club short review
Reading this was at the same time a comforting, old experience, and a new one
It starts very similar to the anime, but only in the first half, while the second half is more focused on the romantic feelings of the characters and Tamaki's family. I love how his whole storyline gets developed, it's probably one of my fav arcs, and I am a big sucker for the "everyone you helped so far wants to help you" trope
So, if you're looking for a warm and light story I totally recommend this, especially if you loved the anime when you were younger. If you're a crybaby like me you'll probably cry

Forwarded from Wolfypostaggio but scary
When I was a kid I used to go spend the summer in Tuscany every year.
We'd leave in the morning and around lunchtime we'd stop at a McDonald's on the way. I'd get a happy meal and ignore the food, because the surprises were so much better, then I'd go play with other kids in the park. I don't think that Mc exists anymore, and even if it did, it's not colourful anymore. You can't hear children laugh in the park anymore.
There are no more places for kids. Kids don't pay, so they don't matter. Both online and offline, there are no more safe spaces, colorful and childish as such spaces ought to be. Children have nowhere to go but on socials full of bile and lies, they have to grow up fast to keep up, there are no places for kids to be kids.
It makes me sad in a way I can't describe.
