Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Encarnación, the 3rd-largest city in all of Paraguay, demanding the government’s resignation after the collapse of the healthcare system, with medicine at a critically low level and elective surgeries stopped altogether. Demonstrators gathered at the Plaza de Armas in the Colorado District, burning barricades and singing chants against the standing regime.
