According to a statement released by the Ministry of Energy, the National Grid went down at 7:34 am local time, resulting in a widespread breakdown in the power system.

Initial reports suggest that the cause of the outage is “still being investigated.”

My Thoughts:

These “outages” don’t just happen. This happens to be a field I am very familiar with due to my profession. For critical infrastructure to fail, all the redundant equipment needs to fail too. For something like a national grid, there are fail safes & redundant measures on top of redundant measures.
This was sabotage.

It’d be foolish for anyone to think it can’t happen here. Let’s see how long this outage lasts & use this as a mental note for preparations. Plan for the worst, pray for the best.
