IMF “Cannot Rule Out” Global Recession

08.07.22 The head of the International Monetary Fund says the global economic outlook has “darkened significantly” and may lead to a worldwide recession in 2023.

Kristalina Georgieva added that the IMF was set to downgrade its 2022 forecast of 3.6% for the third time this year ahead of official reports expected later in July.

She concluded that slowing economic growth might be a “necessary price to pay” to get surging prices under control.(RT)
