Il questionario anonimo è parte di uno studio condotto dall’associazione Rete Lenford – Avvocatura per i diritti lgbti+ con i fondi del bando Otto per Mille della Chiesa Valdese – Unione delle Chiese Metodiste e Valdesi.

Lo scopo del presente studio è approfondire i bisogni e le necessità delle persone non binarie, attraverso un’indagine presso i centri pubblici e privati presenti sul territorio nazionale che si occupano di varianza di genere, al fine di poter individuare le possibili tutele giuridiche e incoraggiare lo scambio di esperienze tra operator* del settore (endocrinolog*, psichiatr*, psicolog*, legali). Non sono previste risposte giuste o sbagliate. Ciò che ci interessa, infatti, sono solo le esperienze e i vissuti personali, liberamente espressi.

Lo studio sarà condotto tramite un questionario auto-somministrato da compilare su computer, tablet o cellulare di una durata di 10 minuti. La partecipazione è completamente libera. Inoltre, se dovessi cambiare idea e volessi ritirarti, in qualsiasi momento è possibile farlo senza dover fornire alcuna spiegazione.

L’anonimato e la riservatezza di tutte le informazioni sono garantite dall’assegnazione solo di un codice numerico ai dati forniti. Infatti, dati personali richiesti quali genere, età, livello di istruzione, orientamento sessuale, esperienze lavorative, cittadinanza e zona di provenienza (Nord, Centro o Sud-Isole), sono informazioni importanti solo per descrivere i gruppi di persone che partecipano al nostro studio e in nessun modo sarà possibile, neanche per chi svolge la ricerca, risalire all’identità di chi li ha forniti.

I dati raccolti saranno utilizzati in forma anonima e aggregata per pubblicazioni scientifiche e/o presentazioni presso conferenze italiane e internazionali.

The CRASH comic contest is open to young artists, between 18 and 30 years old, who are EU residents and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We want to give voice to young queer artists by awarding them 3.000EUR to realise a comic, offering them the opportunity to work and train in an international environment, and publish their work on our platform.

[...] Alaga and Lacsamana share a similar hope to have more women and queer folks in the tattooing world, as studios have been predominantly masculine in the Philippines. Because tattooing is a vulnerable endeavor for the client, a warmer and perhaps more nurturing energy can provide safer spaces that honor the client’s trust and boundaries. Lacsamana also desires to reframe ideas surrounding femininity and tattoo designs. Floral and soft designs are often mocked and belittled, to which she responds, “Why is girliness a bad thing? I love stepping into my femininity.” She hopes that the tattoo world may welcome the interplay of softness and fierceness, power and gentleness, when it comes to tattoo design selection.

Lacsamana imagines tattooing as a way to give talismans to her clients. She shares that the process turns the client’s vision into something tangible, and, by embedding it onto the skin, “alchemizing tattoos into a talisman.” As a tattoo artist, she understands the mutual healing of this process, being a witness and creator who illustrates chapters of other people’s lives on their bodies.

There is something medicinal in choosing the kinds of scars that mark us. In these practices, we get to decide on these wounds and welcome them, as opposed to the ones that invade us without our consent. Through catharsis and colors, we are free. By our own wounds, we heal.

CRASH comes from the need of giving voice to a minority group, the LGBTQIA+ community, which is experiencing discrimination and violence based on sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics in various contexts such as, at work, school; at restaurants, bars and shops; in accessing housing, healthcare or social services (FRA, A long way to go for LGBTI equality, 2020). CRASH wants to raise awareness, give visibility and a proper space of representation to the LGBTQIA+ community, by using the medium of comics designed by youth. It will design, develop and test a cooperation model, based on youth artistic and creative skills, to provide a space to break down society's prejudices and stereotypes.
