CRASH comes from the need of giving voice to a minority group, the LGBTQIA+ community, which is experiencing discrimination and violence based on sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics in various contexts such as, at work, school; at restaurants, bars and shops; in accessing housing, healthcare or social services (FRA, A long way to go for LGBTI equality, 2020). CRASH wants to raise awareness, give visibility and a proper space of representation to the LGBTQIA+ community, by using the medium of comics designed by youth. It will design, develop and test a cooperation model, based on youth artistic and creative skills, to provide a space to break down society's prejudices and stereotypes.

THE SECOND SAFEST MOUNTAIN is a 100-page, standalone digital comic about leaving the mountain dedicated to sacred women, and the repercussions of entering the world below. Written and drawn by Otava Heikkilä.
