Mixed conditionals combine two different types of conditional sentences to talk about unreal situations and their consequences across different times (past, present, future).

There are two main types:

1. Past → Present



✅ Situation in the past affects the present.

Structure: If + past perfect, would + base verb
Example:
✅ If I had studied harder, I would have a better job now.

The schwa /ə/ is the most common vowel sound in English.

It is unstressed, short, and neutral, like a relaxed “uh.”


🔹 How to pronounce:

Relax your mouth and tongue.

Don’t stress it.

It appears in unstressed syllables of words.


🔹 Examples:
✅ banana → /bəˈnæn.ə/ (the first and last ‘a’ are schwa)
