I’m leaving this country—and you should too, unless you want to regret it for the rest of your life. Why? Because despite earning over ₹20 lakh a year, coming from a modern family, and studying abroad, I was humiliated and nearly killed… just because of my caste.
Let me start by saying this: I never thought I’d be the guy urging people to “get out while you can.” But after what happened to me, I’m done. My name is Kulam. I’m 26, earn 20 lakh a year, come from a well-off family, and yet here I am—packing my life into suitcases, ready to never return to this country. All because I was born into the “wrong” caste.
Two years ago, I met her. Let’s call her Priya. She was smart, ambitious, and from an OBC family. Both of us grew up in “modern” households—or so we thought. We laughed at the idea of caste mattering in 2024. “Our parents aren’t like that,” we told ourselves. We dreamed of a life together. I even postponed job offers abroad because she wanted to stay close to her family. Stupid, right?
When we told our families, hell broke loose. Her father, a man I’d once respected, spat venom. “You think your money erases your blood?” he snarled. I tried logic: my salary, my family’s status, my brother (a senior doctor) vouching for me. But caste was the only thing that mattered. Priya fought for us—until her father said, “I’d rather burn my daughter than let a low caste touch her.”
Priya begged me to meet her family one last time. My brother agreed to come, thinking his reputation as a doctor might help. Big mistake. Her father gathered the entire colony to watch the spectacle. They called us “beggars,” threw slurs, and when my brother argued, her uncles attacked him. I stood there, paralyzed, as they kicked him and tore his shirt. The crowd jeered. Not one person intervened.
A week later, Priya stopped replying. Her last text: “I can’t do this anymore.” I found out through mutual friends she’s being forced to marry a government clerk from some backward village—a guy who speaks Bhojpuri, brags about “disciplining” women, and earns a fraction of my salary. But hey, he’s “high caste.” The irony? Her father’s sacrificing her happiness to climb the social ladder he claims to despise.
I was an idiot. I’d turned down a job in Germany after my master’s because I believed India was changing. Now? I’m taking a transfer to China. My sister’s already en route to Germany for her PhD—I’ll burn my savings to keep her far from this poison.
To Anyone Reading This
If you’re from a marginalized caste, leave. Study abroad, take that job in Dubai, marry someone who sees you as human. This country will chew you up and spit you out, no matter how “modern” you think you are. I tried everything—money, reason, begging—and all I got was hatred.
To Priya’s father: I hope your daughter’s tears haunt you when her “high caste” husband breaks her spirit. And to India: You lost another person who loved you. But you won’t care. You never did.
Fun fact priya father is high level goverment employee so you can see how he will treat his low cast employee .
I will post it on multiply sub to tell my story

ChatGPT not governed by Indian copyright law as data stored overseas: OpenAI to Delhi HC
The High Court was hearing a lawsuit by ANI alleging that the US-based artificial intelligence company used its content without permission to train ChatGPT.
Petition to rename "Make in India" to "Make in Bharat". This is the reason it failed.
The real reason why Make in India failed is because of its name. I mean come on.
Change its name to Make in Bharat and watch the magic happen. We'll surely be a superpower by next year.
Even the thought of it makes me wanna orgasm. I think I'll go and smoke a ciggi made of cow dung.
