Why does my computer shut down by itself?

Hey, a few days ago I downloaded a random file from the internet and my Windows Defender found two virus threats. I canceled the download, but after a few days my computer started shutting down on its own. I checked Windows Defender and it didn't find anything, and I'm afraid my computer might burn out (sorry, I don't understand much about computers and that kind of thing). If anyone has any advice, tutorials, or anything else, please post it here.

Are Ryzen PRO 4750G CPU's vendor locked on Lenovo ThinkCentre M75s?

Having a hard time finding a Ryzen PRO 4750G CPU and might be able to buy a used Lenovo ThinkCentre M75s to salvage the CPU (for my TrueNAS build).

I know the 5000-series are vendor locked, but would the Ryzen 4750G PRO be fine to use in another machine?

CPU usage up to 100% and no apps being used up to that value

Hi everyone.

Lately, my computer has been being a pain in the ass. Games are crashing, breaking and with a lot of problems with fps.

Thought it could be from overwolf that I would use to record my games. Not the cause. Even when I close it, it continues with low fps.

Opened task manager and for my confusion, the CPU usage is up to 100%, but no apps are using that much. The game is using 30%, discord 10%... and the others are between 5-10% and the rest 0%. So, everything together is not making 100% but it clearly shows on the top that the usage is at 100%. Hardware had a deep cleaning 2 months ago and thermal paste changed on cpu and graphic card.

CPU is an i7 9700k and 16GB of ram.

Any suggestion?

What should i be looking out for after a power supply almost blew up?

we were originally trying to figure out why the computers speakers all of a sudden lost power and would not turn back on, when the power supply (a corsair rm650 from 2020) decided it was going to start smoking and hissing.

we did the right thing and immediately unplugged and removed the pc to outside, fearing the worst. opened it up, inspected for any damage. took it back inside to inspect more thoroughly.

swapped out the supply for a spare of the same model, which came from my pc before it got moved to a new case. seems to be working fine now.

both the speakers (logitech z623) and the supply will be tossed.

is there anything we should be wary about after the 'new' (used for 2 years) supply was swapped in? will the rest of the computers in the house be fine? the power did not go out or trip any breakers as we turned the problem pc off immediately.

fyi it started smoking after i unplugged the problem speakers from the back.

they wanted to open the supply up to inspect the damage even more closely, but i adamantly said no fucking way as ive heard countless stories of power supplies being opened to instant regret due to the still built up power in the caps.
