Peace walker might be the most based game ever.
Glazing che guevara
Exposing the insanity of the CIA's policy all across Latin America.
Making snake into the spitting image of a Latin American revolutionary
Bucking American imperialists with revolutionaries
Destroying CIA created A.I.
Points out the insanity of nuclear deterrence on a massive scale
Cardboard box but you can make it a tank
The use of "martyred" individuals to promote ideology.
They made a banana a weapon in a game about combatting American imperialism in Latin America.

Long before metal gear 3, solid snake meows like a cat in the, once cannon, metal gear novel from Nintendo's long forgotten World's of Power line of books. I hope you do not mind my sharing.

Finished peace walker but I feel like a lot is missing
I finished the last peace walker fight and I noticed a lot stuff that leads to ground zeroes/TPP is missing, do I have to keep playing the side ops or?
EDIT: figured it out thanks

A newly found appreciation for MGS2
With a TLDR background, I guess I'm a bit of a lapsed Metal Gear fan - I played MGS1 in 1999 as a ten year old and fell in love with the game and got every subsequent MGS at release, but haven't thought of the series much in the last decade since V regrettably. I loved MGS1 so much, MGS2 was probably one of my most anticipated video games ever at its release - I remember getting it for Christmas in 2001 and being absolutely blown away by pretty much everything about it.
I was surprised and a little bummed by the switch to this "Raiden" fella but honestly it didn't bother me that much because Snake was still in the majority of the game anyway. I remember finishing sometime in probably late January/February 2002 (games took me a lot longer back then) and thinking "that was pretty cool" but honestly looking back clearly not understanding much of what the game was touching on, being a kid still and all.
I replayed MGS1 and 3 more than a few times over the years, but for some reason never another full play through of 2? I'm not sure why to be honest, a part of me thinks it's because as a kid, the part where you swim through the Big Shell freaked me out (I hate swimming in video games for some reason, that eel in Super Mario 64 still unnerves me) and had to fight Vamp (who also freaked me out, the idea of the instant death if you fell into the water pit scared me as well) was probably a bit of a deterrent. I know I went back to mess around a few times, even in Substance with the VR missions, but never a full play through of the story.
I got Delta for Christmas (a full circle moment of sorts, I got the original MGS3 for Christmas in 2004) and enjoyed my revisit so much I got the MGS Master Collection Vol. 1 to replay the games and got to MGS2 this week - steeled for Big Shell swimming, I've actually been blown away by the plot and actually understanding what Kojima was touching on, experiencing it as an adult now and not just a dumb kid looking for Solid Snake stealth action. Even the surface level plot twists and stuff I'm getting a new understanding and appreciation of. I can't believe it's been 25 years, jeeze.
MGS4 next, still have my PS3 and haven't played that one since 2009 (not because of a fear of anything in the game, I think at the time I was too fatigued with Metal Gear cutscenes - I remember beating 4 at like 10:00 on a Sunday night before work at my first job and having to stay up for like another hour and a half to finish watching the game lmao)
