Should I use Pokemon Essentials or Pokemon Studio?

I really want to make my own Pokémon Fangame, but I would like to know which one of these engines is the best for me to begin with. Which one's easier to use and how can I apply Gen 8 and 9 features to them?

Pokédex Not Adding to Pause Menu

Hi all, I’ve exhausted everything I can think of, and the Pokédex still isn’t showing in the pause menu.

I’ve interacted with the event with the correct noscript “$player.has_pokedex = true” and it didn’t add it.

I have a Pokémon in my party and went out to catch one after supposedly getting it and it didn’t register a new dex entry.

I deleted the other dexes and the only one left is the national dex. Still didn’t work.

I manually turned on the switch for the Pokédex. That didn’t work.

I’ve tried restarting Pokemon Essentials and compiling the data again, even though I figured the latter wouldn’t do anything.

What am I missing here? I downloaded the Quests plug in recently and added Quests to the pause menu, could that be an issue interfering with the Pokédex appearing as an option?

Weather/Time Encounters 21.1

Trying to stuff all 1025 into a Kanto based map.
Without absolutely overwhelming all typed encounters onto all similar typed areas i was hoping it could use day/night cycles and weather to help manage spawns. I found time based encounters in the encounter data but saw nothing of weather encounters. Is there a plugin or something im missing or is weather strictly battle effects and overworld visuals? Also any help to manage day/night cycles because I'm yet to see a time cycle? Is that in meta data and I overlooked it? Sorry for the newbie questions. I appreciate anything of help!

So I have myidea but do t know how to put into practice

So I'm ready to start my first gull fledged fangane and I love the cartoony/basic sprite (eg. Flat colors semi overagerated features ext) and I wanna have a story reason why everything is in that style but idk hoe to do it maybe a legendary but I'm also rly bad with design so maybe I could use something like dialga using space stuff but other than that I've got nothing
