A very weird question, but why Gabriel?

Or rather, why specifically Archangel Gabriel was chosen by Hakita as a central character for the game, and not another of the Archangels from the Bible? Does it have anything to do with Divine Comedy by any chance? Not complaining btw, I'm genuinely curious about this.
