How does one even start learning Unity?

What are some good beginner friendly resources for someone wanting to get into 2d game making in unity? I’ve noticed YouTube is basically a no go when it comes to up to date Unity tutorials (most recent being about 2 yrs. Old)

why does unity 6000.0.34f1 kinda suck so much?

Compiling is slow in compared to previous versions?

this destroys productivity... wow I get to wait for a 30 second load time on every small change made to code.. just wow.. thinking about never building anything in 6 until it's proven a little more useful to time management.
