Looking for Android Developer to Build SignDict (Japanese & American Sign Language Dictionary App)
Hi everyone 👋
I’m the founder and iOS Engineer of SignDict, a sign language translation dictionary app focused on Japanese Sign Language (JSL) 🇯🇵 and American Sign Language (ASL) 🇺🇸.
I already built SignDict using SwiftUI for iOS and iPadOS, and now I’m looking for an Android developer 🤖 to build the Android app. Many people in the deaf community 🤟 (and hearing community) have been asking for an Android version, so I need a developer to make it happen.
# 📌 Project Overview
App type: Sign Language Translation Dictionary 🤟
Languages: 🇯🇵 Japanese Sign Language & 🇺🇸 American Sign Language
Platform needed: Android 📱
Goal: Match the iOS app’s core functionality on Android
# 🔍 What I’m Looking For
An Android developer who can build the app structure and functionality
You will handle:
App architecture 🏗️
UI implementation 🎨
Navigation 🧭
# 🧩 My Responsibility
I will:
Create and edit the arrays/data (sign language dictionary entries) 📝
Add images (sign language dictionary entries) 🖼️
I will not ask you to manage content creation beyond implementation.
# ⚠️ Important Notice
❌ No AI-generated code
❌ No AI-assisted development
✅ Human-written, maintainable code only
# 🔒 Privacy Notice
❌ No collection of personal or sensitive information is allowed
❌ No tracking, analytics, or internet-related data collection
I will carefully review the app before launch, and if any unauthorized data collection is found, the app will not be approved for release
I take this very seriously because I value the privacy and trust of my users 🙏
# 🗒️ Notes
This is a build-only request (no long-term content management required)
I’m open to discussing:
Tech stack (Kotlin / Jetpack Compose, etc.) ⚙️
Timeline ⏳
Compensation or collaboration details 💬
If you’re interested, please comment or DM with:
Your Android experience 👨💻👩💻
Apps you’ve built (if any) 📲
Preferred tech stack 🧰
Thanks for reading! 🙏

App for file sharing/access on multiple devices
Hi everyone,
Is there an app/website that allows me to access files on my PC (Windows) via my tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE). Obviously, from a powered-on PC.
My PC is a bit like a server, in other words, because I manage files on my PC (photos, PDFs, books, videos, comics), but I'd also like to use them on my tablet when needed, without having to physically connect every time.
Thanks

Calanders that show Microsoft To Do like Google Calander and Tasks?
I am trying to find a calander app that shows tasks as markable events like Google Calander does with their own tasks.
Microsoft Outlook on Android doesn't show the To Do tasks on the actual calander like Google Calander does.
We have a family email with outlook that we use Tasks to have reminders on bills, and it's it's nice to see when a bill is due on a specific day when looking at the calander and seeing it marked off. I also use this to pay bills in advance.
Probably a better way to do it, but this is how we have done it for so long it just works for us.
My wife has a Samsung and here calander app will show the Microsoft To Do on the monthly calander view and will show them marked as completed. I have a OnePlus and can't use Samsung calander.
Any options out there for what I am looking for?

I need a to do list app with interval-based tasks
Not sure if that's the right thing to call it, but I'm having a hell of a time finding an app that does this.
Basically, I want a task to reoccur a set time after it's been completed. If I have a reminder to check my car's tire pressure every month, but it takes me 2 weeks to get to it, I don't need it to come back at the start of the next month, I need it to come back one month after completing it.
I have a surprising number of tasks that work this way, yet there don't seem to be any apps that operate with this logic (with the exception of my plant care app, which I did try using for non-plant tasks).

Need help with extracting files from a game
Hey there! I am looking to check the game files of Bloomix Quest after 11 years since its original release and extract assets, models and other stuff. The Winx Club games made by Tsumanga Studios use Unity and I was succesfully able to check those game's files and extract the content I wanted, but it doesn't look like Bloomix Quest uses Unity, as I get nothing when I try to extract it with that program.
When checking online, it looks like the game was made with a custom engine created by App Ministry for their games.
Any help or ideas??

Are there any wallpaper apps that make a good 3d wallpaper?
The cinematic wallpaper that is stock on Google pixels doesn't do much at all, when I tilt the phone, it only maybe shifts half a millimeter. Are there any that create a good strong parallax wallpaper.

Need a super super minimalist icon pack
I've moved away from Niagra, but I LOVE the icon setup, which unfortunately can't be used in other apps.
Does anyone know of an icon pack that might function like it?
Just, singular colored dots even, but preferably the "generic" icons like a game controller, social media, lifestyle, etc.

Fastest and most reliable file transfer app for large files
I've been using Zapya for offline transfers of large files/folders between Android devices – it's super fast, but the UI is cluttered or has connection issues
Looking for better alternatives that are:
Really fast (Wi-Fi Direct/hotspot based)
Stable, no frequent crashes
Clean, user-friendly interface (minimal ads/bloat)
Good for huge files or entire folders
Preferably free and offline
I've heard of ShareMe, Send Anywhere, LocalSend, and Quick Share – any recent experiences? What do you recommend now in late 2025?
Thanks!

Strange question--does anyone have the alarm audio files from the old Timely alarm app?
So I know I'm not the only one really disappointed the old Timely app disappeared some time ago. I still haven't found anything with as simple and sleek an interface as I'd like, and I just gave up to use AMDroid at the moment.
What else I really miss though is the alarm music Timely had, it changed based on the time of day you set the alarm for and all of it was really nice to wake up to. Is there anyone out there who has the audio files from the app that I can download and use as custom alarms at least?
Conversely, my old phone with Timely on it still "sort of" works, but charging it is really hit or miss so I can't really use it as a regularly available alarm. Is there any way I can get the files from the apk myself?

App to combine photos as layers, stretch and adjust to create mockups for room/garden design
I often want to test how things would work on my room (coffee table, bookshelf etc) by adding imagine of said furniture from internet into picture of my room. I have used photoleap on iOS for years for this (even tho it has been focusing heavily into AI slip direction) but now that I swapped into Android I can't seem to be able to find app that would do the same.
Any app recommendations for this? I tested Canva but it picture editor didn't have layers or at least I didn't find option for that and other layers related apps that I see seems to be adding random hears, etc to picture as layers

Problems with Shizuku's notification
I was trying to pair Shizuku using Wireless Debugging, however, I ran into an unexpected problem. When I open the notification bar to enter the code that appears, there's no field to type/send it from the Shizuku notification.
My phone is a Spark Go 2024 (BG6), and I'd like to know if the problem is with my phone.
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer my question. 👌🏾

Looking for an app that allows me to select specific countries for roaming data and blocks others automatically
My phone plan gives me roaming data for specific countries and charges me for others, I would like to block those countries from my phone. I found that there are settings in android phone that do it by default but not mine (Redmi note 10). Is there an app for that ?

Is there a music player that can loop every track a custom amount of times and add custom length silence/pause between tracks? (Not A to B looping in the track)
I have a bunch of short audio files with foreign language phrases. I want the app to play all of them, but repeat each track for example 3 times before moving on. Obviously I'd need to be able to change the amount of loops. All the apps I can find are always about A to B looping in the track, but it's not what I need :(
Also I kind of cut the tracks too tight, so if the app could insert some silent period/a pause between each track, that would be nice.

Can't download app
I bought Minecraft bedrock on Google play store months ago and I can't download it. Whenever the download is finished it will pop up a box saying "Cant install Minecraft" good news is I have fixed it bad news I forgot how. So recently my nephew bought Minecraft and had the same issue too. I have been searching for solutions and testing all of them but none worked. (Both of us had an apk version of Minecraft before buying it before)

Soul Browser is almost perfect
I’ve been looking for a good mobile browser for years and l nothing has had all the features I need. The closest I've found is Soul Browser (Android) and honestly it’s one of the most underrated browsers I’ve tried.
It has:
An extremely customizable layout
One-tap ad blocker toggle
Tab history back / forward arrows
Settings backups / exports
A powerful Video Downloader
Usernoscripts
It's also fast and lightweight. The only things it's really missing is extension support and a Recently Closed Tabs button or menu.
Does anyone know who the developer or developers of Soul Browser are, or how to contact them? The github page is basically empty and hasn't been updated in 5 months. Someone really needs to make an open source alternative or fork of Soul browser.
If you’re into mobile browsers, reverse-engineering, or open-source forks, this might be worth a look.
Via browser also has a lot of these features but it doesn't have tab grouping and also needs and open source fork.
