Is there any app that I can listen to and download YT mp3 and mp4 things from?
So, I've had this app called 'Free Music' for quite some time now, and it lets me:
\- Watch YT videos (+on standby)
\- Listen to music (+ on standby)
\- Download videos in mp3/ mp4 format
\- Create custom playlists
However, for some reason, this app doesn't work anymore, as it will no longer let me download anything because 'something went wrong'. I have checked for any updates and it turns out that the app isn't even on the app store anymore! No there is no way it'll update for downloads to come back. I also can't uninstall it because if I do, I can't get it back, and I have 11 custom playlists that I've made that some have 70+ things in :') Plus despite the downloads not working anymore, it is the best app out there (from what I've found), bc it had all the features I needed.
Does anyone know an app that has all the features I've mentioned above and that is safe?? I have tried many alternatives this afternoon and all either won't let me download, don't have the music/ videos I'm looking for, or it's full of ads.

Is mobilsim still good to use? Or are there other alternatives that are easier and simpler to use?
I'm looking to use some sort of mobile software to use in the Sims Freeplay to give myself more levels, money, etc. I've had a look around a few forums as well as Reddit and found that most people recommend mobilsim, but it seems quite complicated. Should I look elsewhere or is it worth spending some time researching how to properly use mobilsim?
If I should stick with the latter, can someone walk me through how to properly use it for the Sims Freeplay? I hope I'm not asking for too much 😅
Thanks very much in advance!

Best Android app for scanning from HP 419 wireless printer/scanner? (Print okay if included)
I have an HP 419 wireless printer/scanner.
Printing on Android is already handled (I use NokoPrinter).
What I really need is a reliable app for scanning wirelessly from the printer.
- Scan support is the priority
- Separate scan app is totally fine
- An app that does scan + print is a bonus
- Open-source preferred, ads are OK
- No camera-only scanner apps please
Any solid recommendations?

Apps with support for live updates.
Is there a list of apps that support the live notification feature introduced in android 16? I was hoping FotMob updates to support this as they do in iOS, but that is not the case yet.

Exposure compensation on Open Camera on main screen
Hi!
I'm using open camera, but I would know if there is a way to have exposure compensation selector allways on screen as it happens in most of the camera mobile apps.
I know you can access to it tapping on the icon, which is very fast, but when you tap again on screen for focusing it disappears, and that's not really usefull for me.
Thanks <3

Tutorial How to access the Android/data folder without Shizuku or a PC
Download Skit App Manager from the Play Store (used to extract the system "Files" app).
Extract the "Files" app and save the APK to your internal storage.
Go to your device Settings > Apps (Note: The menu name may vary depending on your device).
Search for "Files" (the app with the blue icon).
Uninstall its updates. If you can’t find it, search for the package name: com.google.android.documentsui.
The app should now be visible in your app launcher. You can now use it to access the Android > data folder.
Manually update the app using the APK you extracted with Skit.
Note: We do this manually to prevent the Play Store from auto-updating it, which would hide the icon from your launcher again.
Do not disable the app, as this will break file access permissions for your entire system.
Limitations
Batch Actions: Copying or moving multiple files from the Android folder to other directories may not work.
File Size: Moving or copying large files (4GB or larger) is currently not supported.
Extras
Files APK mirror
Files launcher activity
com.android.documentsui.LauncherActivity
You can add a shortcut to the Android/data
Using Material Files too.
Sorry for using the wrong flair.

Text Widget App
I am looking for a good text widget app. I have been trying the ones in the playstore but not finding what i am looking for. Year ago i used to have one that had different fonts and you could save your widgets and have multiple on the screen but for some reason the app has changed and those options are gone.
Are there any good ones out there?

Is there an app that is better at customization than Smart Launcher 6?
Hi there,
I just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE from the S20 FE. I was using Smart Launcher 6 and loved the way it looked, loved the customization of my home screen, and loved the auto-sort of my apps. The one thing I disliked was not being able to customize my keyboard. I have relied on the themes in the Galaxy store. This has never been ideal though. I didn't mind scrolling forever to look for a theme specifically for a keyboard that I liked on my old phone, but with this upgrade I've noticed a huge price increase along with difficulty finding the free gems that get mixed in with a generic search. I really like keyboards that the keys are different than the "regular" keys. I don't like obnoxious, just different. For example, I find pixel with a flat color design to be really aesthetically pleasing. I do also enjoy different shaped keys in general, if they are done properly and are uniform. I do care about the other aspects that Smart Launcher 6 does an amazing job providing (e.g. what I listed above). I also like to customize my icons, I've been using Icon Pack Studio along with Smart Launcher but would definitely love something more customizable in that department as well.
All in all, I really just want what the noscript says.

Stock apps vs Alternatives
Hi everyone, I recently switched to Pixel from iOS and was curious to know if any of you power users out there tend to stick with stock Google apps or if you use something different? I've recently discovered the world of FOSS apps and there are a ton of great options out there, but I'm not sure what (if any) would be worth using in place of a stock app. Curious to hear your thoughts!

How to play iMessage games on Android?
Hey so I need help, yesterday my boyfriend (a iPhone user) tried to do the iMessage games with me but it was just a photo on my end? So I was wondering if there's any way I can make it so I can play the game on Android or do I just have to have a iPhone for that?

What’s an app you use often that feels harder to use than it should be or feels frustrating in terms of navigation or flow?
Curious to hear about apps you use regularly that feel frustrating in terms of navigation or overall usability.
Not talking about bugs, performance issues, payments, or subnoscriptions — more about things being hard to find, too many steps for simple actions, or flows that feel unnecessarily complicated.
Not looking at huge social apps(like Spotify or Instagram)— more everyday tools like productivity, notes, learning, reading, or utilities.
If there’s an app you like but still feel “this could be much smoother,” I’d love to hear which app and what feels off.

Are there any camera apps that are like the VLOG video feature on Xiaomi phones?
Hello, everyone. Does anyone know of any camera apps that are like the VLOG video feature on Xiaomi phones? Where you can create that kind of live video (not editors).
That feature was really interesting (I had a Poco X3 Pro and now I have a Xiaomi 15T).
Thank you.

Remotely Connect to an Android Phone
Hey all!
I have an Android phone that is always online, and I need to access it remotely over the internet (not on the same local network).
I’m looking for a solution that allows me to connect even when the screen is off (I can remove the lock screen if needed).
The goal is to be able to access the device at any time without requiring any human interaction on the remote phone.
What would be the best way to achieve this?
Thanks in advance!
