Would you use a “one‑tap access” dashboard for your daily websites?

I’m thinking about a lightweight APP idea that lets you jump into your commonly used sites instantly, as long as the browser already trusts them. Just curious how other app founders feel about this direction.

I decided to give facebook ads a shot

Hey everyone 👋

I recently built an app focused on emotional intelligence, and I’m planning to grow it using Facebook ads.

For those of you who’ve run Facebook ads for apps or websites before — how did it go? What worked, what didn’t, and what would you do differently?

Would love to learn from your experiences. Thanks!

calendar app that supports attachments?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a calendar app that supports attachments. And with attachments I mean those embedded in the calendar event, not a locally linked file, nor a link to google drive.

Acalendar+ only supports locally linked files, business calendar 2 does not seem to support attachments at all. Calengoo might support it, but I'd need to buy it before trying it.

My calendars are located on a nextcloud server, fwiw.

Anyone got an hint which calendar app could fit my need?

Looking for a slideshow app with a grid/multi-pane layout

Hi, I'm looking for an Android app that supports a grid-style slideshow.

I want to display multiple photos at once (2x2 or 3x3) and have each frame randomly rotate through an album. I've tried some apps, but they were outdated and hard to manage.

Any recommendations for a modern app with a "Photo Wall" or "Grid Layout" feature? Thanks!

AccuBattery: remind me where to set the % for low battery alarm?

I've used AccuBattery for years but on my new phone I can't find this in the settings.
V. 2.1.8, Android 15.

While charging I have it set to alarm at 80%, using the blue slider to select the battery level. While discharging my old phone alarmed at 20% but now, the orange slider has no handle to adjust it.

Feeling stupid as it must be obvious! But I can't find it.

I understand there's no such thing as a perfect weather app but what comes close? (looking for something with "rain starts in 15 minutes, stopping within 1 hour" type of feature)

I have tried dozens upon dozens of different weather apps in the last couple of years, and I feel like I'm ready to throw in the towel. Is it too much to ask for some accuracy? Weather Underground was my go to for the longest time before they sold out to IBM. After that I've used/tried what seems like everything and a kitchen sink, but keep coming back to MyRadar. However, not only the notifications are a hit or miss lately but the accuracy has gone down hill big time in recent months. For example, two days ago it was snowing (lightly) for about 1.5-2 hours in the morning, yet MyRadar displayed "partly sunny with zero percent chance of perceptions". Today Weather is a solid app where you can choose different providers (Weather.gov seems to be the best choice for my area) but what it doesn't have is the "snow starts/stops" feature. It just sends notifications like "there is a 50% chance of snow in your area at 9am", which is not exactly what I'm looking for. AccuWeather has a "MinuteCast" feature but it's wildly inaccurate. In addition to the aforementioned, some of the apps that I have tried and discarded for one reason or another are: Overdrop, Meteored, Rain Alarm, Weather Radar Pro, Weather, Clime, MeteoBlue, Rain Viewer, Breezy, Transparent Clock and Weather, and many others. I don't mind paying for a good app, and would even consider the ones with recurring subnoscription fees. TIA!

Looking for an app to automatically mute ads on Spotify, YouTube, and streaming TV on Android

Hellooooooo :D

I’m looking for an app or tool that can automatically mute ads on my phone when they play in apps like Spotify, YouTube, or streaming TV apps.

I don’t need to block the ads, I just want the sound to be muted while an ad is playing, and then return to normal when the content resumes.

I’m open to Android or iOS solutions. If you know any apps, tools, or workarounds that can do this reliably, I’d really appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

How detox apps detect reels sections of insta

I’m working on an Android focus / digital wellbeing app and wanted to get opinion from developers and privacy-conscious users.
At the OS level, we can detect:
which app is in the foreground, session duration, screen on/off time
But platforms like Instagram and YouTube don’t expose whether the user is specifically watching Reels or Shorts.

Some ideas I’ve seen discussed:
Accessibility services (scroll patterns, gestures)
Usage heuristics (long sessions, no typing, rapid scrolling)
Audio focus signals
However:
Exact detection seems unreliable
Accessibility feels like a policy gray area
Privacy concerns are real

My question: Do you think behavior-based inference (instead of exact detection) is the right approach here, or should apps avoid trying to distinguish short-form content at all and just work at the app/session level?

And also can you guide me how detox app do this??

To-do app with location?

I'm looking for the closest thing to what Keep used to do - bring up an entire to-do list when reaching a certain location. I've found one that you can attach a location to a particular task, but I'd like something closer to keep

Looking for a privacy-friendly file manager / gallery that works properly with external SSD

Hey,
I’m trying to find a simple Android app that can handle an **external SSD (USB OTG)** properly and also work a bit like a gallery.

What I need:

* Browse folders on the SSD
* Open photos and **swipe through them without leaving the app**
* Play videos directly
* Copy/move files between phone storage and the SSD
* **No tracking, no cloud, no background scanning, no ads**

I already tried regular gallery apps (Samsung Gallery, others, etc.) — either they don’t show the SSD at all, or they show the folders but **can’t play videos**, only photos.

Most file managers also force me to open another viewer or media app, which breaks the flow.

If anyone has good recommendations, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

Task Lists App with Recurring Reminders and Auto-Updating Notifications

I am looking for a simple app that can do the following (and not much else):

Create lists with checkboxes for marking items complete and/or removing them from the list
Reminders/Notifications that: 1. can be recurring (daily, weekly, custom, etc), 2. display at least the first few list items in the notification, and 3. auto-update to remove list items that were checked-off

Google Keep used to do this for me, but with the recent transfer of notifications to Tasks, Reminders items 2 and 3 no longer function.

Does such an app exist?

I built a simple manga library app so I stop buying duplicate volumes

Hey all — I made a small Android app called Zosho because I kept doing the same thing over and over: standing in a store trying to remember if I already own Volume 12… and then either buying a duplicate or skipping it “just in case.”
I used to track everything in Notes / a messy Google Sheet, but it always turned into a chore. So I built something that’s basically “my manga shelf, but searchable and visual.”
What it does right now (v1)
- Search and add a manga series
- Enter the volumes you own (supports ranges like 1-16)
- Auto-fetches volume covers so you can scan your library visually
- Shows progress toward completion when total volumes are available
- Lets you upload a manual cover if you want a specific edition
- Tap a cover to view it full-size (I like admiring the art !!)

Why I’m posting I’m looking for a few people to help with Google Play internal/closed testing so I can catch weird edge cases (omnibus editions, “Vol 0”, series naming quirks, etc.) before I push it wider.

If you’re down to test:
- You’d install it from a Play testing link
- Use it normally for a bit
- Tell me what breaks / feels annoying / what you’d want improved

Planned enhancements (wishlist / next steps)
- Export/import your library (human-readable)
- Bulk add multiple series/volumes at once
- Barcode scanning to add volumes faster
- Pull volume metadata (ISBN, release date, etc.) instead of just volume covers and total volumes for a series
- Calendar + following series (notify when new volumes drop)
- “Where to buy missing volumes”
- AniList-based recommendations
- Optional Google sign-in + sync across devices
- Home screen widget (quick view of what you still need)
- Allow Volume 0 (ex: JJK) + settings for 3-in-1/box sets
- If cover match is low confidence: show options so you can pick the correct cover

If you want in, comment or DM and I’ll send the testing link + instructions. Also very open to feature suggestions—especially anything that would make this more useful for collectors

Is Play Console bugging out? Huge drop in "Total Installs" despite consistent growth 📉

Hi everyone,

I'm the developer of Miku Wallpapers Live, and I recently encountered a confusing issue with my Google Play Console stats.

As you can see in the screenshot, my app has been growing steadily. The "Active devices" metric is up by 42% (reaching \~1k average), and "User acquisitions" are consistently green. However, looking at the "Total installs" chart, it reached a peak of around 4.5k and then suddenly shows a massive vertical drop-off to nearly zero in the last day shown (Feb 6).

Given that my "User loss" (uninstalls) hasn't spiked and my daily downloads are stable, this makes no mathematical sense. It looks like a reporting glitch or a data delay on Google's end, but seeing that number plummet is definitely alarming.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of "phantom drop" in their Total Installs reporting recently? Is this just a common Play Console bug?

Any insights would be appreciated!

Looking for advice on a movie messaging app that doesn’t require a phone number (email would be great).

Need help/advice on a good messaging mobile app that doesn’t require a phone number (requiring an email or something would be great) that allows videos and stuff to be sent, but if the app is deleted or logged out of, messages will still be there or if a message is sent and you are logged out of it, the message will be there once logged back in. Any help would be appreciated.

[APP] PixelSnap Case Animation (Like Magsafe Case Animation)

The concept of automatically theming your phone to match your phone case sounds very Android when it comes to customisation, but sadly is an Apple feature.

Thought of mimicking this feature in Pixel (and other AOSP like UI phones supporting dynamic colour themes).

The idea is to paste cheap NFC stickers on the inside of your phone cases and program them with the app to match the colour. Now whenever you snap a case that has been programmed, your phone theme and wallpaper automatically changes to the programmed style, matching with your case.

The app offers few basic colours and wallpapers (9) built in with an option to select custom wallpaper, from which colours will automatically be extracted.

Short demo video https://youtube.com/shorts/A1PQ6GqFAV0?si=MTD3bmw1t_mD26TW. It's a screen recording so you can't see the cases being snapped on the phone but you get the idea anyway.

The question is, is this idea appealing enough? Are people going to want to use this?
