Claim made in dubious TikTok video may stem from misunderstanding of the term MagSafe.
What’s one underrated iPhone setting you use every day that most people don’t know about?
I mean something hidden or unusual that actually improved your daily use, battery, productivity, privacy, anything.
Bonus if it’s something I can try right now.
Curious to see what power users are using.

What changes would you like to see to Notification Center in iOS 27+?
I feel like this space (and notifs on the lock screen) has gone unchanged for some time and there are some modern / logical things Apple can do.
For me, I’d love unified notifications — the same across my iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch. You can choose to filter per specific device in Settings, of course, but I should be able to have the same set of notifications synced across everything, with swiping away to remove affecting all notification panes in my life. This continuity already works between my iPhone and Mac.
I would also like to Snooze or Pin notifications. These things are actionable and important, somewhat like my Mail inbox. I want it treated as such.
How about you?

I built a live screen zoom/highlight tool for presentations and tutorials
Been teaching IT courses for about 10 years now (90k+ students across various platforms). One thing that always bugged me was how hard it is to draw attention to specific parts of the screen during live demos or recordings.
macOS has a built-in zoom, but it doesn't show up in screen recordings. Most tools like Screen Studio do post-production zoom, which means extra editing time. I wanted something that works live, so what you see is what gets recorded.
So I built ZoomShot. It does three things:
* **Screen Zoom** \- Control + mouse wheel to zoom in/out, and it actually shows up in recordings
* **Focus Highlight** \- spotlight effect around your cursor so viewers can follow along
* **Screen Drawing** \- draw on screen in real time during presentations
It's not a screen recorder. It works alongside whatever recorder you already use (OBS, QuickTime, Loom, whatever). The zoom and effects are rendered live on screen so they get captured by any recording tool.
Free on the Mac App Store with the zoom feature. There's a paid tier for the highlight and drawing stuff.
Would love to hear what you think. If you do presentations or tutorials, this might save you some editing time.
*Some parts of this app's code were written with AI assistance (code completion tools).*

As a father tired of finding drawings everywhere (and feeling guilty throwing them away), I built an app to preserve my kids' artwork forever and just launched it today!
Hello r/Apple,
I'm excited to share an app I've been pouring my heart into the last 6 months called [**Arti – Kids Art & Memory Saver**](https://itunes.apple.com/app/id6753904837). As a dad, I know the struggle: your kid hands you their 27th masterpiece of the week, your fridge is full, the drawers are overflowing, and you feel terrible every time something gets quietly tossed. Arti was born out of that guilt.
📱 **The App**
Arti turns your child's artwork into a **beautifully organized digital gallery**. You create a profile for each child, add a photo of their artwork, optionally add denoscriptions, tags, and even multiple images per piece, so every crayon scribble and watercolor masterpiece has its place.
One thing I'm especially proud of is the **live sharing feature**. You can invite grandparents, partners, or close friends to view or even contribute to a child's collection. You stay in control with permission levels (view-only or full editing access) so the memories get shared without the chaos.
To make saving artwork a fun habit, Arti has a **built-in rewards system**. Artists earn XP and unlock achievements as more pieces get added, celebrating milestones like 10, 50, or 100 artworks. It's a small touch that makes the whole thing feel like an adventure rather than a chore.
You can also **track the creative journey** over time. See stats and activity trends that show how your child's art evolves from their first wobbly circle to something that genuinely impresses you.
And of course: **Everything lives securely in iCloud**. No ads, no data collection. Your family's memories stay yours.
✅ **The Pricing**
Arti is free to download and genuinely useful right out of the box. No ads, no data collection, just the app.
I want to be upfront: For the full experience, there's a **Pro version available** at a price point that I think is genuinely fair:
* Weekly – $0.99 with a free trial to get started
* Yearly – $5.99
* Lifetime – just $9.99 if you prefer to pay once and never think about it again
Something I really wanted to get right: **Apple Family Sharing is fully supported**, meaning one Pro-purchase covers up to 5 family members. So if you and your partner both want to use Arti Pro, one upgrade has you covered.
💡 **Feedback appreciated**
This App just launched today as V1.0 and r/Apple is exactly the community I wanted to share it with first. Whether it's the design, the features, a bug you found, or something you wish it did. I genuinely want to hear it. There's plenty more coming in future updates, but I'd love to hear from you... What would make Arti a must-have for your family?
📲 **Download Arti today. No mess. No tears. Just memories.**
