Bola gun supermancy, find out out other way
Okay, I just figured something out that I somehow missed earlier.
Instead of aiming for the enemy’s torso, shooting their lower legs actually knocks them down. They drop their gear, try to start crawling, and even call for help, which is perfect for setting up traps or pulling in more enemies.
And headshots?
They neutralize enemies instantly, doesn’t matter if they’re armored or not unlike a lot of the so-called non-lethal weapons that still feel inconsistent.
Kinda wild how much more control this gives you in aggressive play. Makes combat feel way more intentional than just spraying bullets.

So I bought Death Stranding thanks to the sale, I'm about 4 hours in and overwhelmed by shit I don't understand lmfao
So far it's absolutely great, I just have a few questions. I just got past the spot where you steal shit back from the Mules.
1.) Does the narrative pace keep up like this? There's story progression at every single turn, and I'm really really enjoying it, like LOVING it in fact.
2.) So let me see if I'm understanding this all properly, when I find the post boxes or w/e they're called, I can leave the unfinished deliveries for another porter for a reduced reward, does that actually give other players the ability to take them, or is that a behind the scenes game mechanic? Is it a lot better to leave them in private storage, and take them all the way myself next time I have to backtrack?
3.) What's the deal with rain? I get that it's got the time poison in it, but how much does it affect things? The game was like "Shit its raining you need to get out of the rain" but like there was no where to get out of the rain, so I just clomped on for like a kilometer, and it like the packages were fine? Do you need to find like an actual established shelter, like a cave or something, or can you wait it out under a cliff that overhangs or something?
4.) So the first mission gave me some suggested routes, and they're still on my map. The next missions did not, and it seems like it plots the routes that I took, and saves those routes to the map so that I can use them later, am I correct in this one??
5.) I use auto for all my gear and cargo load outs, is that relatively safe as a general rule?
6.) I was getting pinged, and it told me to get the heck out of there quickly, and then it started to rain, and it showed a cutscene of some mules retreating - was that a noscripted event, or was it natural? I was confused as to what the heck any of it meant, but the next mission had me dealing w/ mules so I got the context there.
There's like 5 other things I don't understand that I wanted to ask about, but it seems I lost them! I'll certainly just play and find out, but lots of stuff just doesn't have context yet, I think.
Edit:
7.) I don't really "get" BDs, it gives me the notification to hold my breath, but am I supposed to hold my breath and run, hold my breath and stay still, the BDs don't even look like they're moving, I don't really understand how to engage with them or avoid them, because I've gotten sucked into the soup while holding my breath and crouch sneaking away, and while staying still.
