i3-6100 Hackintosh – Black screen with cursor after install (macOS Tahoe 26) – Is Tahoe supported?

I’m trying to install macOS Tahoe 26.2on an Intel i3-6100 (HD 530 iGPU. Installation finishes, but after reboot I get a black screen with only the mouse cursor visible. The same hardware and EFI works perfectly on macOS Big Sur, so this seems Tahoe-specific. I’ve tried different SMBIOS (iMac17,1, iMac19,1, iMac20,1), various HD 530 framebuffer patches with WhateverGreen, HDMI output, and DVMT 64MB, but no luck. Is Tahoe actually supported on Skylake / HD 530, or is this a known GPU limitation? Has anyone successfully booted Tahoe on this hardware?

Hackintosh doesn’t boot with Ubuntu

I had a working hackintosh with sequoia on an hdd but I decided to install ubuntu too on that disk.
Now i have an ssd with windows and an hdd with sequoia and ubuntu.
The problem: opencore doesnt boot, only ubuntu.
Please tell me there is a way to fix this or im gonna crash out.

Efi gone

efi question: I have monty and sonoma installed on one ssd(2 partitions) was trying to fine tune the monty config file using the Dortainia guide and it borked it. didn't save the original. now it goes to recovery when i try to boot monty, Sonoma boots normal. I tried to mount it in terminal no luck, also tried Ocat and efi mounter it does not see the monty efi anywhere. If I could mount it, I could just replace the config file

Hackintosh freezes, occasional ALCID bypass and weird startup behaviour.

Hi everyone! I hope this post finds you all well.

I'm having trouble with my Hackintosh, I started noticing it became much more unstable:

* Sometimes the PC starts with no audio working until next reboot
* Occasional freezes when doing some intensive work (but sometimes even very light work or even at startup) and the system hangs completely, nothing works but a force shutdown.
* After I force shutdown the system I notice:
* the boot becomes MUCH slower,
* the Log-In screen comes up but after a couple of seconds I put the password in, the wallpaper is different than mine (standard Sonoma wallpaper, I have the orange glass one) system hungs up again, then weirdly enough the Apple logo and the progress bar come up again completely by themselves, prompts me to the Log-In screen again and then the system starts to work.

I'm completely lost, systems specifications are as follows:
Laptop - HP Pavilion DK1XXX

CPU: Intel Core i5 10300H

iGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630

dGPU: Nvidia 1660ti (-wegnoegpu)

RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200mhz

OS: Sonoma 14.7.6 (installed as per Dortania Guide, no Distros nor prebuilt EFI)

Storage: OS running on 256GB APFS M.2 drive - Internal 110GB HDD MacOS Extended Journaled (there are no frequently accessed files on it, neither by me or the system)

The issue persists with an almost full drive (<5GB Free on the OS M.2) as well as a free drive (>50GB Free on the OS M.2)

Here's a list of Kexts (there sure are a lot, it's the hackintosh with the most kexts I've ever built):

How i can multiboot Macos 10.15 catalina with Windows 10 and windows 7 on a single Hard drive without Deleting data?

So i have a 2012 Cooler master PC running on an Asus Motherboard and basically im trying to multiboot it to macos Catalina,heres my Specs

CPU: Intel Pentium G2120 dual core
RAM: 4GB DDR3
BIOS: Legacy
GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics
Current Operating Systems: Windows 10 and Windows 7

Can I run Hackintosh?

I recently bought a pc with a 5080 and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. I know there are problems with drivers but I also heard that you can make it run on a sandbox kinda thingy. Is there any way i can dual boot windows 11 (which I already have) and the sandbox with MacOS? Im new to all of this, so excuse me with everything I just said sounds super dumb.

Mac OSX Deep Freezeby Faronics

I have this old Mac OSX that runs perfectly fine but I got it from a school and they had Deepfreeze by Faronics installed so if the computer is restarted all the changes made on the computer are reverted back to it's original state I want to use the Laptop so I was wondering is there a way to uninstall that or reformat the hard drive with a bootable USB because I want to keep the school firewall and security that keeps safe from malware and threats.

getting "vmsharedregionstartaddress()" error when installing macos sequoia

i installed macos tahoe thru a usb when i first started, worked perfectly but didnt like it so i tried sequoia and i keep getting this error and i have no idea i reseted nvram, disabled secure boot, remade the efi following the guide 10 times and it wont work

iMac 19,2 smbios got Mac OS 26 update in setting ???

I think everyone know that iMac 19,2 doesn’t support Mac OS 26 . But somehow Mac OS 26 update appears in setting . Anyway the fix it ( I upgraded ones and it so laggy so I want to stay on Mac OS 15 )

Black screen after verbose

Updating from Sequoia to Tahoe release, had some issues due to whatevergreen, disabled it, added -lilubetaall to boot-args, and added patch Patching AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext – Pike's Universum according to Opencore guide macos 26 section, now just black screen after lot of verbose

Problem encountered:

The graphics card's audio output is available, but the volume cannot be adjusted.

The graphics card requires manual installation of the Web Driver.

The processor listed for this device is a Core i5.
