For anyone interested in a Window Switcher in the form of a Pie Menu

I love the pie menus in Blender and I got fed up with switching to the wrong window when hitting Alt+Tab, so I made something to replace it in the form of a pie menu: MightyPie Revamped. It has the benefit of not needing the taskbar as well (except for the Tray).

I also built in a lot more functionality like media control, maximizing/minimizing windows under the cursor and more.

I’ve always been annoyed at how **cluttered and unreliable torrent sites** are.
Searching for a movie = ads, pop-ups, fake buttons. I just wanted something faster and cleaner.

Campfire (the self-hosted group chat) just became free and open source!

Hi!

DHH (co-founder of Basecamp) announced yesterday that they're making their group chat software open source (MIT licensed) and free for everyone to use. This is fantastic news, especially considering this piece of software previously required a $299 payment just to access the codebase (far too expensive, in my opinion).

It looks like we now have another excellent open source alternative to Slack and Microsoft Teams, thanks to this move. I really hope more companies will follow this trend soon.

What Open Source, Self-hosted Video and Voice chats Application

Who has a Open source self hostable video and voice chat that can integrate with phones and with linux computers. Discogs alternative

Is there an alternative to Discogs for cataloguing physical music media? My specific problem is that I cannot add a certain bootleg record to my collection, even though I can find it in the Discogs database. I suspect this is due to the transaction-focused nature of Discogs and enshittification.

Si tenemos una duda se la preguntamos a la IA, la IA, entrenada por humanos, nos dará una respuesta (probablemente equivocada) ¿Por qué no nos consultamos directamente entre personas?

Creo que la utilidad de la IA está en analizar muchísimos datos y dar valoraciones estadísticas en base a patrones. Más allá, la encuentro innecesaria. No entiendo por qué hay que pagar a una empresa para que nos dé información, cuando podríamos consultar directamente con la persona que tiene la información de primera mano.
Antes de esta locura de la IA, propuse a una gran empresa la creación de una app que sirviera para poder consultar con un experto en cualquier área, porque todos somos expertos en algo. Los usuarios se registraban también como expertos y tenía un sistema de puntos que permitía que los mejores expertos pudieran ganar dinero con sus consejos, así como la participación de empresas. Yo creo que con la publicidad adecuada hubiera sido un éxito. La empresa nunca contestó, ahora tienen una IA para dar el conocimiento humano bajo pago. Sigo pensando que no les necesitamos, que los humanos ya podemos traspasar nuestro conocimiento directamente y que cada una se nosotros podríamos tener una agenda de contactos inabarcable. Y esto no le gusta a las empresas.

I Want to Make the Most Beautiful, Aesthetic, Free and Open-source Platform for Learning Japanese Ever

The idea is actually quite simple. As a Japanese learner and a coder, I've always wanted there to be an open-source, 100% free for learning Japanese, similar to Monkeytype in the typing community.

Unfortunately, pretty much all language learning apps are closed-sourced and paid these days, and the ones that are free have unfortunately been abandoned.

But of course, just creating yet another language learning app was not enough - there has to be a unique selling point. And then I thought to myself: why not make it crazy and do what no other language learning app ever did by adding a gazillion different color themes and fonts, to really hit it home and honor the app's original inspiration, Monkeytype?

And so I did. Now, I'm looking to find contributors and testers for the early stages of the app.

Why? Because weebs and otakus deserve to have a 100% free, beautiful, quality language learning app too！

CaddyManager 0.0.2 - SQLite is here! - Web UI for managing Caddy servers

Hey everyone! I couldn't have imagined people so eagerly jumping on the first release of CaddyManager, thank you for all the feedback and with that I have shifted instantly on putting SQLite in place ;) Looking forward to hearing how everyone is liking it, please don't hesitate to put feature requests in so I can build out a bit of a bigger roadmap!

Here's update 0.0.2!

This release has a set of quality of life updates that will hopefully greatly improve everyone's experience with CaddyManager, thank you all for playing around with it thus far! This release introduces multi-database engine support, with SQLite as default, this did mean that the docker compose has changed. I also made some changes to backend/frontend communication so it becomes significantly easier to reverse proxy the app. (literally just a reverse_proxy rule to the frontend)

New features

\- Multi-database engine support, with SQLite as default and MongoDB as alternative option

\- Alternative JSON editor for bigger changes and copy/pasting

\- Initial dashboard setup, will be improved upon in the future, as well as Open Telemetry integration.

Improvements

\- Improved all input fields readability

\- Frontend container is now properly communicating directly with the backend, clients dont need to interact directly with backend anymore

\- When using domains that already exist in a config, combined with a template, the merging with the existing configuration doesn't break the Caddy config anymore

\- Improved logging and added various cleanups throughout the codebase to improve speed
