I decided to ignore events like those on certain trackers that offer extra benefits for donating for a while, or calendars that have been open for ages and have nothing to do with Christmas or any general event. Unfortunately, I'm not on many trackers, so this is what I noticed.

HDBits or Aither?

The goal is to eventually get into PTP but in the meantime, which mid tier tracker is the best option to hold me over until PTP?

Which trackers should I join if my connection speed is slow but can permaseed ?

I am thinking about Blutopia and Aither. Maybe Anthelion.

I have 50 up and 50 down connection and can permaseed.

I don't mind getting a seedbox for few months to build initial ratio. Some trackers have freeleech beyond certain size.

I have invite to these trackers. Which are good movie or tv tracker ? I would like to join multiple and preferrably cross seed.

* Blutopia

Can you get into highest tier trackers without doing upload work?

I’m wondering. Can I get into the highest tier trackers eventually just by having good stats for a while at a few midish tier trackers like blu/aither/mam/red?

Because the whole “upload 500 different torrents that are perfect flac” type stuff seems out of my wheelhouse. Took me weeks to figure out how to even upload 5 torrents as encodes. Was wondering if that’s pretty much the only way to advance… if so I’ll call it a quits at blu/aither probably. I figure a lot of people probably are in this situation and haven’t seen any posts addressing it on google search or browsing these subs the last few months.

So… besides “knowing people”(I have 0 friends who do this stuff), or working 40 hours a week to upload 500 perfect flacs or whatever… can you simply “get in” by having good stats eventually?

Seeding Advice Please

Currently I have about 100TB of content split roughly 75/25 between PTP/BTN, and cross seed the content to other trackers such as Aither where there are overlaps.

I have built up about 150TB of buffer on PTP and wondering if I should shift the 75% of the disk space allocation differently since that is quite a bit of buffer (or not?). For example, I could focus on sharing more on Aither since it seems to be rapidly growing in reputation so it would be a good backup to develop the account further, or shift PTP/BTN proportions to eg 50/50.

I enjoy both movies and TV shows, and mainly watch remux content. So roughly 20-80GB per movie or around 100-300GB per season for shows, when remux options are available.

My willingness and enjoyment is to share content and participate in the communities I’m in, and at the same time have a feasible long-term backup plan. I’m also building up my RED account as a long-term backup pathway to other trackers and close to getting to Elite TM in there, so there would be option to allocate disk space to other trackers in the future as well if I decide to ask for invites, but I do understand the additional effort required to participate.

Keen to hear any valuable practical feedback please. I’m not here to brag about what trackers I have access to, and just looking for practical strategies and ideas on where to go from here.

Buying upload on tracker

What’s the thing about getting bonus points while seeding and buying uploads with these on private tracker? Are tracker limited in bandwidth and I can only use a specific amount GiB/TiB of upload or what is this whole „buying uploads“ thing about?

Lets take darkpeers as an example: I can buy uploads for points. I can also remove download with points. What is this all about? Is it about manipulating actively the ratio or really about bandwidth?

Worth looking into joining Wigornot / WDMA trackers?

I've always been curious about this exclusive category of trackers, particularly Wigornot. I've been an active member of PTP and KG for about fifteen years. These are my last BitTorrent trackers (other than TL for general), as managing other practically redundant trackers (to me) is just a hassle, especially since I'm also active on the ed2k/eMule network and Usenet. Now, from what I understand, these trackers don't really offer anything special in terms of content; bar some occasional internal release of something extremely rare. Rather, the incentive is the top-tier community and, I suppose, the 'secrecy'. For Wigornot in particular, the administration only gives out a couple of invites per year after an assessment.

So, my question to anyone who has been (or is) in a WDMA tracker is: is it really worth joining for the community/network, or is it essentially just a huge waste of time/energy for a "trophy tracker"? Thank you.

Tier One Trackers: Which Are Still "Worth It" in 2026

As someone whose been using private torrent sites since essentially the birth of BitTorrent, I'd like to think I know a few things about private trackers. I've used them extensively in my home media server to build a large library that feeds into my home theatre system.

Tier One trackers are essentially built for folks like me: Collectors who really care about the quality of the files they download. I see alot of discussion online about what trackers are "worth" grinding for and which are not. The very nature of private trackers means there isn't a good way to understand what is the best tracker for you and what you might be missing by not having membership to a different tracker.

I've just recently checked out some of the newer offerings and while I am super happy that I have access to every Tier One tracker that matters, I was surprised to see how high the bar for quality has gotten on the Tier 2 and Tier 3 trackers.

Here's my opinion on which Tier 1 trackers are still worth it in 2026.

# Movies:

Tier 1: PTP
Tier 2: HDB, BHD,
Tier 3: BLU, ATH, ANT, HUNO

PTP is fantastic, but BHD is a spectacular alternative that has truly innovative features, a great community, and a more modern UI. If I were grinding from the bottom, I would set my sights on BHD and stop there.

Alternatively, you can combine two tier three trackers if you use a service like Prowlarr/Radarrr and get mostly the same reach. BLU and ATH are both very good, but also extremely similar to one another and I would not recommend joining both communities. ANT is very good and has a unique economy that promotes long term seeding.

HUNO is in a class of its own focusing on high quality x265 encodes which many believe is going to end up being the future. If I were building a movie collection from scratch, I'd honestly use HUNO as my primary and fill in the gaps with BHD or ANT and ATH.

VERDICT: Not Worth It!
PATH TO TIER ONE: NBL → ANT → OPS → GGN → PTP
PATH TO GREAT EXPERIENCE: NBL → ANT → BHD

# TV:

Tier 1: BTN
Tier 2: HDB, BHD
Tier 3: MTV, TVV, NBL

BTN's greatest strengths are its ease of use and size of library. It's a ratioless tracker with a simple bonus program that promotes long term seeding. So long as you are committed to leaving your torrents running, you will never have a challenge with using the site. It has every TV show from every country being released today and an impressive catalog of vintage television shows as well. It functions in a class of its own and is the ultimate stretch goal for TV.

Neither HDB nor BHD are ratioless, but both have large libraries of TV available. Neither hold a candle to the foreign language and SD coverage of BTN, but if you're mostly looking for US and UK network, cable or streaming shows, both will do the job.

Among the tier 3 trackers, MTV is easily the best, and easily on par with the tier 2 trackers selection. MTV is ratioless which IMO makes it the only direct replacement for BTN.

NBL is also a good tracker and one that seems committed to growing. The NBL & ANT combo is a close analogue to what you'd get with BTN & PTP. They are two of the newest trackers and worth investing in IMO.

TVV doesn't have an API and doesn't work with Sonarr as a result which I think is disqualifying for a TV tracker.

Bottom Line: Like movies, you have lots of options. Unlike movies, I do think the benefits of BTN are hard to replace with alternatives. If I were starting from scratch, BTN would be my goal, but I would start with NBL or MTV and be pretty happy until I reached that goal.

VERDICT: Worth It!
PATH TO TIER ONE: NBL → ANT → OPS → RED → BTN
PATH TO GREAT EXPERIENCE: NBL → ANT → OPS → MTV

# Anime:

Tier 1: AB
Tier 2: BBT
Public: NYAA

This one is short and straight forward. In a world where NYAA exists, there is no reason to grind for any private anime tracker UNLESS you're looking for things like Anime OSTs and other niche content.

NYAA covers pretty much every Anime in existence with multiple quality
levels. If you are a perfectionist who only cares about the best quality encode, use https://releases.moe/ to find the torrent on NYAA. If you just want to watch anime and don't care about quality, just grab the most seeded torrent. If you want ridiculously small mini-encodes, NYAA is actually the only place you'll find those because they don't pass AB and BBTs quality standards.

AB and BBT are both good, but I just can't think of a reason why anyone would need to use them unless they were REALLY into the community.

VERDICT: Not Worth It
PATH TO TIER ONE: NBL → ANT → OPS → GGN → AB
PATH TO GREAT EXPERIENCE: NYAA

# Music:

Tier 1: RED
Tier 2: OPS

RED is the only music torrent tracker I would reccommend. It has a vast library, an active community, easy bounty system, and regular freeleech events to counteract its fairly unforgiving ratio rules.

OPS is a great, well designed tracker, but it just cannot compete with the size of RED's library. If you mostly listen to Top 40 or other fairly mainstream genres and releases, this is less of an issue. I, on the other hand, constantly run into albums I cannot find on OPS and rarely run into the same issue on RED.

A major caveat* to this whole discussion is that we live in a world where you can use Deemix to download FLAC quality audio of Deezers library of over 120 million songs. I feel like that has to be the better option to any music tracker for 99% of people. But if we're just comparing trackers to other trackers, RED is clearly the best available.

VERDICT: Worth It*
PATH TO TIER ONE: NBL → ANT → OPS → RED
PATH TO GREAT EXPERIENCE: Use Deemix instead

# Books:

Tier 1: BIB
Tier 3: MAM

BIB is notoriously difficult to get into. MAM is notoriously easy. Both sites have loads of books. BIB's ratio management is difficult due to its smaller community. MAM's ratio management is trivial.

In a lot of ways, MAM is the better tracker. Its just stupid simple to operate. But for people who genuinely care about building a library of eBooks, BIB is in a class of its own when it comes to ensuring only the highest quality ebooks make it onto the site.

eBooks are one of the most annoying things to download from a consistency standpoint. If you're in that 1% of people who are focused on building an organized library of ebooks, BIB's quality control makes it an incredible asset. But for everybody else, MAM is just a simpler option that provides 95% of the same value.

VERDICT: Not Worth It
PATH TO TIER ONE: NBL → ANT → OPS → RED → BTN → BIB
PATH TO GREAT EXPERIENCE: MAM

Do you grab Hybrid HDR 2160p Remuxes?

Hybrid in this context is referring when a remuxer may have a UHD Bluray with only HDR10, and injects DV or HDR10+ from a web source into the remux. As many UHD Blurays don't include them, especially earlier ones. Licensing bullshit etc.

Do you trust these?

Not sure how to think on them, currently PTP does not allow them. Other trackers do but requiring proof it matches. Other trackers seem to not care at all.

I basically have gotten into trusting newer ones from groups like CiNEPHiLES since they post proof the layers match. There seem to be a lot of older ones from the 3L and FraMeSToR that seem shaky not sure on.

Recommend me a good TV tracker

Been a member of TL for almost a decade now and it's satisfied 99% of my needs. Only thing I'm really having trouble obtaining is a few more niche TV content. Mainly some early-2000s cable reality TV type content.

Recently joined OldToonsWorld and have really enjoyed some old 90s/00s untouched VHS rips of TV with TV Station bumpers and ads intact. I know it's probably a long shot but if there's another tracker with something similar I'd love top know about it.

Got an invite to TV-Vault off a friend of mine and while it has some obscure content it's nothing that really satisfied my needs.

Sumo tracker

Looking for a tracker that gets full grand sumo tournaments coverage.

- All makuuchi bouts for each day, not just highlights.

- English commentary (I think NHK World does these?).

- Released quickly after the last bout ends, within 12h max.

- Each basho day covered, no skips.

Any tracker that fits these requirements? Thanks in advance.
