New to usegroups, how to start

Hello, as noscript says im new in the world of downloading using newsgroups

Tried to read it but cant get it to work.

Made an account in nzbfinder and althub throug suggestions on Reddit (I have no subnoscription yet).

Downloaded sabnzbd to actually start downloading (according to guides)

But when I try to start sabnzbd it ask for; server username and pasword.

I cant find what i have to put in server.

Looked on nzbfinder and althub but i dont have a clue.

Anyone can help me gettting started?

The idea is that providers post their deals in a wiki which will be created in order of backbone this will be separate to Provider Deals wiki page.

Once a deal is over, it should be removed or clearly marked as expired. We’re not forcing deletions immediately, but keeping things clean helps avoid confusion.

Happy to tweak things as we go if something isn’t working, but this should cut down clutter while keeping deals easy to find.

Unuseable Headers? newshosting.com

So i use newsleecher because i dont have anything better that can download the entire header list and lately i've been getting a few years early on... then nothing... then more recent headers. I'm using newshosting and at first i thought it was just dmca takedown and they cleared them out but this is a lot of groups that worked months ago but now, just massive chunks of 'unuseable headers'.

Is it possible to block usenet servers in your router/firewall?

I want to block my pc from accessing usenet if my vpn fails. Is it possible to just blacklist the server adress of your usenet provider which you have to enter in your downloader or do providers use multiple adresses/IPs?

Easynews Web Interface Download Errors

I've used Easynews web interface for about 14 years now with no issues, but recently downloads won't work. I've contacted support, but they have not helped with this issue. I'm using Chrome, but I've also tried using Edge with the same results. I've turned off my firewall - still no help. I get the error message: No internet connection. This is impossible, since the search still works. Has anyone experienced this and have a fix? If not, I have to just quit using Easy news after 15 years. One more thing - I downloaded newshosting app, and it works.

Intermittent errors from Indexers

I have 7 indexers added in Prowlarr, in which I use 4 of them for via RSS Sync from Sonarr/Radarr. I also have notifications setup so that when either my indexers or providers go down, or there is an issue, I'm notified.

I seem to have a lot of notifications, at least a couple a day, from certain indexers. Usenet-Crawler is probably my biggest culprit. It often is 'restored' on the next connection, they are set to run every 15 minutes.

I'm not hitting any limits, so I guess I'm just wondering if this is normal, and if others are also running into this issue?

Up until this point I've just been ignoring it, although the notifications can get quite annoying...

Eweka Includes Easynew - Is it Actually free?

I recently got an email from Eweka saying the price was going up by 2 euros but they now also include Easynews (web search).

Just wondering if anyone has actually looked into this and activated this easynews account? Is it truly free or is it a try and pay later scenario?

I currently have lifetime for nzbgeek but the selection for games sucks. Torrentleech works but there's so many torrents without seeds making downloading games impossible. Anyone have any recommendations for an indexer or forum that has all the new plus old releases??
