My 7 year old figured out a way to bypass the Family Link Bedtime setting....

So I gave my kids an old phone of mine so they could watch YouTube and play games but before that I downloaded the Family Link app and put a time for it to lock. One night I caught one of my kids on the phone and asked her how she unlocked it and showed me. So Google, for some reason, leaves Google Assistant accessible on the Home Screen so she just opened it and asked google to open whatever app is installed and it does. My mind was blown that Google, a multi-billion dollar company, was bested ...

How many of you have the updated Google Messages UI? Do you like the changes?

I noticed the other day that on my wife's Pixel 3 that she has an updated photo share button. My Pixel 3 still has the Android P version. Neither of us are in the Q beta testing or anything, just normal users.

Asus RoG phone 2 tencent version costs only $500

Does anyone think that's weird? The other versions cost $900 minimum. The only info I find about this cheap version is that it has 8 GB instead of 12 GB (android phones don't need more than 4 GB of ram in the first place).

What other cost-cutting measure could they have taken?...

Workaround hack for unwanted screenshots & sync

I've been having issues with my phone accidentally taking screencaps when I take it in & out of my pocket, and then automatically syncing to cloud. Besides being an obvious security risk, it's also incredibly annoying.

The hack I've come up with is to:

* \`adb shell\` into the device
* cd /sdcard/DCIM
* rm -R Screenshots
* touch Screenshots

​

This should make an empty file names Screenshot that the system will try & fail write to, thereby rendering the function useless.

Any way to open desktop sites on Android perfectly? This link especially says to open it only on desktop but it shows something (click on the link) when I open it on my Android phone (chrome) even I turn on desktop site. Why it's Happening like that?
