What I love and hate about EMUI 9.1

Recently, my Huawei Honor 7x received the EMUI 9.1 update, and my feelings about this update are mixed.


I'll start with why I dislike it.


First off, most dark themes don't work properly, and as a huge dark mode fan, I find this very annoying. The lack of an official dark mode option on non OLED screens don't help either. Seriously, how hard is it to add that feature to all phones?
The navigation buttons and the top status bar are a lot bigger than that of EMUI 8, and it doesn't scale...
