What version of Android has impressed you the most? Why/how did it do so?

Previously asked about Chromium flags that improved your personal experience and got quite a range of answers ranging from Chrome purists to this with a lot of experimental features enabled they suited them. Chrome is a universal browser though, and I'm not curious what your favourite android skin or version is and why?

Are smartphone hardware interesting any more ?

I was just watching this video from a Youtuber Austin Evans ([I'm OVER Smartphones...](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1QC8NNODsw&feature=youtu.be)), and was thinking, maybe he is right. Smartphone design haven't changed a lot in past couple of years. I haven't changed my phone (OnePlus 5) in about 2 years, and i don't feel the need to. The hardware is pretty capable of doing everything i want.

What do you guys think,

Why is OnePlus the only Chinese manufacturer that has gained marketshare in the US?

Why does brands like Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo are staying away from the US market?
(I know Oppo and Vivo are both owned by BBK, as well as OnePlus, but they act like seperate companies)...
