[DEV] Swipe for Facebook 8.0 is HERE and 50% OFF - Now with a gorgeous new redesign based off of Google's Material Design 2 and Fully Customizable Themes/Layouts just like your favorite Reddit apps. All that and much, much more!

Greetings, r/Android! It's been quite a long time since I've posted here, and after a soft launch of 8.0 over a week ago at r/swipeforfacebook (and massive sessions of bugfixing over the last week), I'm finally proud to do a more official launch of the latest version of Swipe on this subreddit. And what better way to do a launch than a 50% sale?

**Swipe (Pro Unlocker IAP) and Swipe Pro are both 50% off through the weekend.**

OEM tried to gain those higher numbers by all means necessary , from pop up camera to flip camera to notch etc

But what bothers me about Android oems that they all just want to get those higher number even if they don't necessary apparent in the user eyes

Let me explain

The iphone X , as much as i hate...

[DISCUSSION] android OEM's approach to bezels and what to sacrifice in exchange for a high screen-to-body ratio %

so, lately i have seen a lot of people expressing a certain feel about wanting a smartphone with even bezels all around the 4 sides EVEN of that meant to have said bezels to be a tiny bit thicker.

now, my addiction to the discourse is simply visual, i have made this simple graphic that shows with images what my thoughts are on recent new smartphones and what smartphone i would like to be made

[US/CA] Need beta testers for 7-11 app, get free food/drinks for new registrations

Hi /r/Android, y'all have always helped me out when I needed it. I'm the Product Owner of 7-Eleven's apps, and we just launched an open beta channel for Android. You can opt-in through Google Play or the link below.

We recently launched Mobile Checkout and 7NOW delivery, and got some exciting new features coming later this year. I realize not everyone lives near a 7-Eleven, but we got over 12k locations in the United States and Canada, so I thought this might be a good place to recruit some te...

Beware of Sony update - it will brick your phone!

Overall the Xperia has been a great phone and I would still like to use it; HOWEVER, due to a system update, my phone is now bricked.

I called Sony to inform them that their system update bricked my phone. I highlighted how I was able to turn on my phone but a white screen comes up that says, "Unfortunately, the process com.android phone has stopped," and will not let me move past this screen.

Sony's response was because my phone was out of warranty, they could not fix the problem.

Hmmmmm . ....
