Super thankful for the new emergency shortcut in 10

My wife and I were watching some kids tonight and one of them took a header into a fake plastic log and busted open the bridge of his nose pretty bad. I was able to get in contact with 911 really quickly and really appreciated the quick pop up for my location. It helped a lot.

Kid ended up needing 10 stitches and was able to get help that much faster.

Thanks Google....

PSA: how to use drawer menus in Android 10 with gesture navigation

If you've switched to using the new full gesture navigation in Android 10 but can't get the drawer menu gesture consistently I've found swiping in at a harsh angle of 45° or more triggers the menu reliably. coming straight in from the side always triggers back. hopefully this saves you some frustration....

Just discovered it in battery usage settings, thought it was pretty hilarious. Also, when I try to do so, it just crashes. Quite an oversight on Google's part....

PSA: If you do have a Galaxy wearable such as a watch and the Galaxy Wear app running Android 10 has been acting up (such as force closing, crashing, lagging, etc.) check if you have installed the Samsung Pay watch add-on.

If you do, uninstall it. That solved the issue I was having yesterday....

How Android started me on the one device only setup

So I like to think I loosely follow the minimalist style I don't like having tons of stuff and with the arrival of my Pixel 3a XL I think that maybe coming to my digital life also

So first I work in IT, so technology excites me but it's also very expensive, people buy phones, tablets, laptops and desktop which is fine, but personally I just want device for everything

This started with the ease of Chromecast, I have an android TV in the room, and I bought an ultra upstairs, previously I had an ...

In a world where phone manufacturers all copy eachother to death I find it a little crazy that after 10 Note phones no other company has made a serious phone with a stylus.

LG have done a few, but they've all had midrange processors and the styluses themselves were pretty bad - thick round tips that are barely better than just using a finger.

The Mate 20 X had an optional "M-Pen" that you could buy, and while the pen was pretty good it didn't fit inside the body of the phone so that's a little useless...

And that is...

.....Literally it?!

It's not like this is a niche market either, the Note phones always sell like absolute gangbusters and the reviews are full ...
