Android 10 killed menu button for legacy apps

I don't know how many of you still use any old apps from the pre-Ice Cream Sandwich days, but I have a couple game emulators that I've always used that require the old menu button to function fully. This has always been done by a software menu button appearing in the bottom right for those apps, as has been the case since 4.0. Since upgrading to 10 on my Pixel 2XL, it has stopped appearing. Dark Mode can still be improved

Like many I love the addition of dark mode with Android 10, but I feel like Google can still make some slight tweaks to give us a better overall experience.

Been enjoying Android 10 but slightly confused why settings menu is black while Google apps are dark grey

Just my OCD but I noticed that dark theme looks quite different when looking at the various Google apps when they are compared to each other and the settings app is completely black while most apps are dark grey. Material theme guidelines even says that apps should display dark grey for dark theme. Just wondering if there's going to be a little more unification for the standard.
