How do you guys handle photos in your phone?

I use an app called Piktures and Google photos for backup, since Piktures does not have the functionality and Google photos is good enough.

The problem is that I reset my phone every 5-6 months and lose all the folder organization provided by Piktures. I searched and you can't backup pictures to certain folders sadly with Google photos....

Dark mode: always or just by night?

I would like to know if you use the Dark mode as your default theme or just at night or low-light condition.
Google seems to advert this mode for lowlight environment, but Apple is just promoting it as a personal preference of aesthetics....

Android 10 finally add support for text messaging on my 2016 Honda Pilot's infotainment system!

I'm both a little upset about this and kind of glad it finally happened.

I'm a little upset because it took so long to get this working. My car would never recognize my Pixel phones text message notifications. And I always thought it was because the car manufacturer didn't include the feature. The funny thing was my wife's iPhone was getting text messages just fine.

so almost an entire year goes by with me owning this phone and finally the new phone is about to come out which I plan to get. An...

The Pixel 4 may make the Pixel Stand a worthwhile buy

I haven't been a fan of the pixel stand since it was released, as I feel it is way overpriced for what it is. However, with the Pixel 4 being released with Soli I can start to see some solid use cases for it. Controlling music, videos, video calls, etc. using Solo gestures could make it a solid bedside or desktop addition. Any thoughts?...

I don't like Android 10

I was really looking forward to it and as soon as the update notification appeared on my phone, I clicked "Update".

I've been using it for a few days now and I have to say that unfortunately I do not like it very much. I'm interested in how has your experience been so far as well? Let me explain mine and why I don't like Android 10 that much.

* The gestures - I absolutely hate them, not the gestures, but how they're implemented in Android. They are simply clunky. I compared them to iOS and the...

Gestures and "what's on my screen"

"What's on my screen" appears to only be available in Assistant when holding the home button, so it looks like it can't be used when gestures is enabled.

Although the only reason I tried it was to see if it works with 10, and it still doesn't. Assistant has no access to the screen. I did check that "Use screenshot" is on in the settings....

Android 10 Apps Compatibility thread

Hi,

I'm still reluctant to update my phone to Android 10, due certainly to apps incompatibilities (specifically due to changes in Clipboard, Scoped Storage,...). So I was wondering if there were known apps with issues, so that when all issues are fixed me, and maybe others, could trigger the update.

I couldn't find any list as a website news or any thread on Reddit or XDA so I was thinking of this thread where people could share their issues and centralize it.

So here is a template, if yo...

At this point, borderless smartphones doesnt make sense anymore

I was thinking about the Pixel 4 and how companies put effort to reduce the borders on a smartphone just for that thinner aesthetic, giving us dumb solutions like motorized cameras, ugly notches (like the one on Pixel 3) or punch holes (like Samsung). Why it does have to be like that? It's ok to having more screen to body ratio, I am not saying technology is bad for innovating or something like that. It have become just pointless to have "infinite displays", yeah it looks cool but having those d...

Since there seems to be a lot of interest in this phone - AMA about the ASUS ROG Phone II!

Hi,

I've had the ROG Phone II for almost 3 weeks now. I picked up the Tencent model from China (less RAM and storage and no matte back but otherwise identical to the global model.)

If you have any questions feel free to ask....
