Is it worth paying for a high tier phone?

So my wife and i are shopping for new phones. Obviously we want to pay as little to get the most. Right? That just makes sense, I think on some level most people don't have $1500 each to drop on new devices.


The pixel 3a we can get for $650 (candian) and the oneplus 6 is similarly priced. These represent the high end to what I want to pay. I think the Samsung Galaxy 9 is in that ballpark to....


But my question is: as a casual user, would I notice the difference between a mid/high level phon...

I made a fun how-to summary (in the material design aesthetic) of device-wide ad and tracker blocking for the average user.

It'll probably be beneath the /r/android community, but maybe you'll appreciate it and might share it with your friends for their benefit. Usersub are not fans, apparently.
