What old android feature do you miss the most?

I'll start. I miss when I could unlock my phone with my voice. I used to jump right into an app or take a specific action without having to pick up my phone.

Let me know your favorite dead feature of the Android past!...

I've found a solution for adding a vertical scrolling widget page to Nova Launcher

You can see a video demonstration of this here: https://www.reddit.com/r/NovaLauncher/comments/ddeyd8/what_do_you_think_of_my_setup_vertical_widgets/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

What do you think? I've seen a few people wanting to add this on here.

Tutorial:

Download Square Home Launcher. You'll have to tweak the styles and settings. You can also change the gestures to swipe up and down to open Nova to make this feel truly integrated.

Then add your widgets and tu...

Android should change their scrolling behavior to vibrate when it hits the top or bottom of a scrollable object.

Okay, here goes:

The only difference that I can see between Android am iOS is the scrolling behavior. On iOS, when the user across past the beginning or end of the list, the object acts elastic and it lets you scroll a little bit past the end of a list. On the other hand, Android just stops you at the top or bottom of the scrollable object and shows you an overscroll indicator.

In my opinion, the iOS behavior feels more intuitive and smooth.

But, if Android implemented a UI change where the p...

Since people were saying it's too wide, I calculated the width and height of the Microsoft Duo. It's one half-inch wider than the Note 5.

I did some pixel measuring. I'm getting a 4:3 screen aspect ratio or at least near enough. What I actually got was 1.36, which would be closer to the academy ratio for 35 mm film, but 4:3 is 1.33. I'm going to assume that's what it actually is since it'd make sense. My hand probably just clipped a little bit too much from one side when I was cropping.

If the diagonal of an individual screen is 5.6 as every publication is reporting, that makes the width 3.4 inches and the height 4.5.

So 3.4:4.5...

My Google Pixel 1 XL Support Experience In India

So, I got my Pixel XL 32 GB in 2016. It is performing amazingly since then no issues whatsoever. I really love Google devices and their software was a Nexus warrior. Owned all Nexus since Nexus S.

Recently, my device battery started depleting a little faster than usual, so I assumed it's the Android Q preview. I ignored it for weeks and then suddenly my phone started turning off at 20% automatically. I knew it has to do something with the hardware right away. But still, I blamed the software an...

Do you feel that Android and iOS are drifting together?

Inspired by [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/dd9evs/what_old_android_feature_do_you_miss_the_most/) post. I've always used Android, I've never had an iOS device. But it seems to me that both are becoming the same.

Android has lost multiple features that made it special. It wasn't always bad, it often was a tradeoff in the name of security. Still lots of unique selling points are gone:

* No more call recording in Android 10. Even Pie made it difficult to record calls, but now ca...
