Why is it that there isn't an option to natively lock down apps and settings in Android using the fingerprint reader? App developers make it possible with fingerprint lock apps. Way back when fingerprint security became an option on phones, I just assumed this would be one of the reasons for having it....

Dark mode is a mess

So I got dark mode on my Google calendar, keep and yesterday on the play store.

Now my playstore is on light mode again and the dark mode option is nowhere to be found. Why is this a thing?

Also it's apparently impossible to get dark mode on Gmail if I have Android Pie?

How come it's so difficult to release dark mode at the same time for all apps? And how come one app supports dark mode in Android 9 and the other doesn't?

It feels like Microsoft at this point with their inconsistent UI o...

When shopping for a new phone, what features / specifications do you look for?

Having gone through quite a few different phones and phone brands now, the following is a list of features and specifications that I want my new phone to have. How about you?

(Some of them in particular I get really annoyed about if they're not there.)

-NFC (!!!)

-LED Notification light (!!!)

-NOT Huawei (terrible memory management, in my personal experience of them)
