[APP] New app: Simple Auto Brightness (free download)

Is Android's Adaptive Screen Brightness driving you crazy?

It was driving *me* crazy, so I made a simple replacement app.

Because it is so much simpler, it works a lot better than either Android Adaptive Brightness or relying on manual brightness adjustment--at least for me!

At around 20:24 of The Vergecast podcast, Nilay asks Google Senior VP of Hardware and head of Pixel, Rick Osterloh why the Pixel 4 cannot do 4k60fps video recording using Snapdragon 855 while Samsung can using the same exact processor. Osterloh's pathetic answer? "I don't know."

How is this guy a VP of hardware and not know?...

Comparison of full resolution pictures from The Verge article - Pixel 4 vs iPhone. Pixel 4 retains the signature noise, grain and purple tint.

I'm not sure why The Verge does not provide a link to their full resolution images because they are linking to full resolution pictures.

Anyways, here's a comparison of the quality. View them at 100% resolution.

Fabric - [Pixel](https://i.imgur.com/X20iNUn.jpg), [iPhone](https://i.imgur.com/eMyOrki.jpg). Look at how much more detailed the iPhone shot is. It is clear.

Church - [Pixel](https://i.imgur.com/U2SnoAf.jpg), [iPhone](https://i.imgur.com/JKp0f1j.png). Clearly more detail in the iPhone...

Genuine question for those who avoid iPhones because of the Apple ecosystem: Do you use another company’s ecosystem? Or are you using products and devices from multiple different companies?

And if you do use multiple companies’ products, is it confusing to have to use so many different accounts with so many different UI?

I’m not trying to bash on anyone here, nor am I trying to start an Apple vs. everyone else debate.

I am genuinely curious because I personally use the Apple ecosystem. I have had an amazing experience with it. Everything I have works so well together and since it’s all from one company, everything is streamlined and made to work with everything else in that ecos...
