Is Google killing customisation?

I had the Pixel 3a and I couldn't use gestures with Nova Launcher since Android 10 Beta 5. This was in summer. It is almost Winter and I read some comments that it is still bugged.

Has Google found a way to be anti-competitive now? Man, I am really scared to use Android with limited customisation....

The GSMA launch the "Network Settings Exchange" to get carrier settings into phones.

This will help get VoLTE, ViLTE and VoWiFi working without needing to be on carrier specific firmware or needing a system update to support a new network. Carriers upload their settings to the gsma database and oems download them and send them to your phone based on the sim.

Of course, phones will first need to be updated to use this new system. These are low level settings so the modem maker and oem will need to support this. Hopefully, google will quickly do any work needed to integrate th...
