So.. I bought this new Xiaomi phone, (MIUI) and found out some horrible practices that many android-users should be made aware of.

Hi all. I'm sorry if you already knew this, but I would love to inform some android users about practices by Xiaomi and probably many others.

So I bought this new Xiaomi Note 8 Pro about 1 month ago. I've been hesitant to swap my sim-card to this new phone, since I kinda wanted to keep it "clean", and remove all bloatware before I use it. I didn't want it to get linked to me personally, so I also created a new google account etc.

PSA: Xiaomi still sends data to their servers, even after turning ads and analytics off.

Even after turning everything off and adb-ing some of the system apps, I realized my Redmi Note 8 (on Global MIUI 11) was still making requests after every app launch to [data.mistat.intl.xiaomi.com](https://data.mistat.intl.xiaomi.com).

Engineer from Samsung says chipset vendors are to blame for limited Android updates
