Missing screenshot feature from google assistant

I heavily used the screenshot feature through google assistant because it allowed me to take a screenshot and send the image right away without needing to save the image on my phone.

Unless I'm missing a way to get the "Share Screenshot" button back to the google assistant drawer that pops up when you activate the assistant, all google has done is remove a really efficient service and force you to go through multiple steps to take a screenshot and send it to someone. I guess I shouldn't be sur...

/r/android reviews: Asus Zenfone line

Device reviews are everywhere these days. From big name technology websites to lesser known blogs, and to the rising stars on YouTube. You can find hours upon hours of review content on most any well-known device out there.

For those of you who like to hear about devices from actual users, though, it's hard to find a good place with reviews that aren't scattered all over the place. Plus, many reviews only showcase the device while it's being tested and might not reflect real-world usage over a ...

Is it just me or is Smart Lock absolutely useless?

I first got introduced to Smart Lock with my Pixel 2. It seemed like a great idea that'd make using my phone at home just a bit easier, but in practice it rarely performed as advertised. I used the location and voice settings, so I'm not sure if one of the others might work better.

I just upgraded to a Pixel 3a and was hoping the newer device might behave a bit better. Honestly, I think it's worse. I have to fingerprint unlock or input my PIN whenever I want to use my phone. I work from home mo...

Thoughts on Xiaomi redmi note 8 pro after a week of heavy usage.

First, I'd like to mention that I have the variant with 8GB ram and 128GB storage.

Alright, let's get started.

First impressions-- It comes with a lot of bloatware and ads integrated in the Miui OS, although not a problem since most of them can be easily removed.

The chipset on this phone is a beast, the mediatek Helio g90t beats the Snapdragon 730 easily. I ran ppsspp emulator (with vulkan) and got an easy 60 fps in God of war-ghost of Sparta without a lot of hacks or enhancements, all the w...

Digital Wellbeing idea: App cooldown

I really like the app time limits on Android, but I think another cool option would be an app cooldown feature which limited the amount of time you spent within one instance of an app.

For example if I'm in reddit for a continuous 30 minutes close the app and lock it for an hour. The time limit and cooldown period could be customized globally or on an app by app basis.

This makes some sense to me in addition to just setting a strict daily limit....
