My S7 edge just exploded on me

While there is no damage physically done to me, I am more concerned about me no longer having a phone. I am a college student with little to no money to pay for a new phone. I have had this phone for years, so, naturally, the manufacture warranty is gone on it.

I just had someone from Samsung tell me to "take it to a repair center". Yeah, Ill just take my exploded phone to a repair shop, I'm sure they'll have it fixed right up. And there will be a nice $500 bill with having to replace the back...

Mock services would be nice

Android has improved somewhat in fine graining resource grants but it would be great if I could grant apps access to mock services (fake contact list, arbitrary gps location etc) so that I can use apps but maintain a modicum of privacy....

Facebook has silently removed the ability to use Messenger with a phone number
