What is the best looking smartphone?

Not exclusive to only recent phones, anything all the way back to the dawn of the modern smartphone back in 2007 count. iPhones (and Windows Phones) count as well!

If I had to choose, I'd say a couple of nominees would be the Bright Red Nexus 5 and the Really Blue Pixel 1. They really pop, so to speak....

Anyone remember Keyboard 69? (Formerly known as "Nintype") I just wish there was an optimised, updated version of that keyboard implementation.

That made typing other-worldly and almost game-like. Best keyboard for me hands down, or rather, hands on screen. The WPM you got with a proper set up (this takes half a day) let you type words faster than you can even think them. RIP Keyboard 69, F.K.A Nintype....

Authentication in Android 11

Hey Guys, I thought about authentication in the current Android and I have an idea you might like:

I bet most of you give your phone to friends or your partner quite often. I also bet some of them have a fingerprint/face registered or know your passcode.

There should be the option to have a hierarchy: Your finger can unlock the phone, authenticate payments, sign you into apps, etc. But your fiends finger can only unlock the phone.

Hi Guys, while texting I got the WhatsApp dark mode on beta. I'm on Android 10 and Google Pixel 2 XL.

I know people hate on Samsung software, but these gesture capabilities alone made using my Note 10+ far better with one hand.

Essentially, you have up to 12 gestures you can customize total. 6 on the right and six on the left edge of your screen.

Bar beneath keyboard - Android 10 - Gestures

For those Samsung users who updated to android 10 today and were warmly welcomed with a thick bar beneath their keyboards, this is for you.

I found a fix for Galaxy Note 10, and I am assuming at least all other Samsung devices. You need to disable two options in settings and the bar will dissappear. "Show keyboard" and "Show button to hide keyboard" . This removes the gap and restored my sanity. I hope this helps anyone who is frustrated and first Google search leads to an adb fix that stretch...

My experience switching from an old Flagship to a new Budget Phone.

TL/DR: FOR ME, the Moto G7 Power is a nice experience compared to the Galaxy S7 Edge.

Battery life on my S7E was getting pretty bad so around November I started looking for a new phone. I wasn’t in a real rush; I figured I would wait to see what early 2020 would offer. Being on Verizon severely limits options but that’s a different topic. About a week before Christmas the S7E started really acting up and battery life fell off the cliff. Then it started getting very hot and the battery expanded...

Some 'courage' decisions that makes no sense

I feel like phone makers are actively regressing in some aspects. While the removal of the headphone jack did anger me, I can understand that it is a decision based on financials. They want us to buy their buds or whatever they choose to call them, and it makes them more money.
