I know I'll be negged to infinity by posting here, but thought I'd have some unique insight into this. About me: late 30's, professional with doctorate, consider myself very tech savvy. Switched from Galaxy S7 to Iphone XS 1 week ago.

Current Samsung A-Series devices are actually worse value for money than 3 years ago.

My wifes phone, a Samsung A5 bought 3 years ago has more cracks than a plumbers convention and potatoes take better photos than the camera.

Went in store today, was looking around $600NZD (the same price we paid for our A5 3 years ago) and discovered the Samsung A50 for $570 or the A70 for $700.

Quick sweep of the specs and I realised the A series is absolute garbage!

Both the A50 and A70 downgrade the back to plastic and drop the water-resistance.

Tip: You can block the irritating 'cookie request' web pop-ups with AdGuard.

Been using AdGuard for years and recommend it. Very effective no-root ad-blocking. (Don't work for them and I'm not getting paid for this yada yada)

 

Found out today you can block those annoying as fuck cookie request pop-ups.

 

**To do it:**

**Settings> Content Blocking> Filters> Annoyances> enable 'I don't care about cookies'**
