I appreciate how repairable and modular the Moto E5 Play/Cruise on the inside.

In addition to the phone having removable battery and is fastened by small Philips-head screws. Inside, most of the parts are replaceable, without the need for soldering or removal of adhesives.

The power and volume control are on its own [flex cable](https://http2.mlstatic.com/flex-botones-power-volumen-moto-e5-play-xt1920-18-D_NQ_NP_635549-MLM30165246307_042019-F.webp). The charging port/microphone are on its own [separate daughterboard](https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-8c4e0/images/stencil/20...

What's up with phones giving up on notification LED?

for example new xiaomi phones K30/poco X2

They slap there IPS panel so no always on display either.

Is there some other popular way to see missed stuff that I am not aware?

Surely we are talking cents in cost to have multicolor LED somewhere....

Why is Mediatek still so hated in 2020?

Mediatek might have produced cheap shit in the past, eg in the mt 65 series. However their new helio chips, esp the high end ones like helio p70 and g90t, offer fantastic performance in a 200-300 phone. Their dimensity series is also promising. Why the hate for mediatek? Personally im a qc hater cos of their brutal exploitatitive practices, and i refuse to buy and snapdragon powered device.

Ps i know about the gpl debate but qc does worse shit in terms of anticompetitive practices, no?...

What's up with the lack of F2FS adoption?

F2FS filesystem is generally regarded as being superior to EXT4 in some tests. Yet, most phones are still using the EXT4 filesystem. OnePlus used to use F2FS but currently, the OnePlus 7 series is now back to using EXT4.

Samsung, who actually originally [developed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F2FS) F2FS, has only recently started using it on their Note10. Google Pixel started using it on their Pixel 3. So why has it that F2FS adoption is still low?...
