Why I Love my Pixel Slate: A Brief 2020 Review Vs the Competition (iPad, Galaxy Tab, Surface)

Okay this isn't that brief...sorry. See TL;DR at the bottom.

I was in the market for a new tablet or tablet-like 2 in 1 device that I can use for both web browsing and media consumption as a tablet, and as a competent productivity device, eg multitasking apps, and windows, note taking, emails, document writing, and web apps for my job etc. nothing crazy intensive so no content creation, art, programming etc.

My needs were:

* Preferably at least 6GB of RAM
* Up to date processor that can handl...

The brochure of the first Galaxy S from 2010: It's amazing how much smartphones in general have evolved in a decade

Back when access to the internet wasn't as convenient due to lack of mobile data and/or gadgets, I developed a fun little hobby to collect the brochures/catalog of mobile devices & tech in general. The community here would probably share the sentiments of nostalgia of these gadgets and amazement of how far smartphones have come in the past decade

Why is the Backside screen not popular/ not used at all?

As of right now I can see everyone wants a notchless screen and using the back cameras for selfies is amazing for anybody. It's also great to check the time every now and then isn't it?

The phones are already covered in glass and at least in my opinion putting a small screen would cost less than motorizing the cameras or putting a front camera at all... I don't understand why companies still haven't developed this on the mid range to flagship phones and only on the extra pricey ones.....

Android R - Neat little feature I found

If your phone is placed on a wireless charging pad but isn't charging, you'll get a [warning](https://i.imgur.com/6xb1x91.png) saying so!...

Can we stop with the "good enough" battery sizes?

My complaint is mainly with the Samsung flagship devices. When the Note 9 came out it had a 4000mah battery and people acted like it was some big deal yet it's good enough to do the job. You don't get anything extra. You get just enough. My dad's old S7 Active released two years before the Note 9 had a 4000mah battery with only a 5.1 inch display so you'll have to excuse me for not being impressed.

And now we have the S20 Ultra with a 5000mah battery. Sure that's a lot of battery but 120hz now...

One Shade: Custom Notifications and Quick Settings - Nice little app that lets you fully edit layout and color and all the elements how you like it. NOT having to ROOT or even use adb is pretty amazing. Highly recommended.

Im using it on my S9+ Exynos (Android 10)...
