What do you think about 2 type C's on a future Samsung, now that they have ditched the headphone jack?
With the removal of the headphone jack, it obviously sparked a lot of controversy and mixed emotions, including for myself. I personally own a note 9, so I still have a headphone jack, but in the future I don't see myself not using headphone jack. I believe Samsung could fix this by adding another type C port, and while one is plugged in the other one is disabled for charging etc. Maybe they could even pack a type C to headphone jack adapter into the box. Anyways, I have no one to really talk ab...

Lack of OS Support
Does it really matter that much whether an old Android phone no longer receives the latest updates? I feel like at this point, there are no real game changer features that are implemented in these yearly OS updates. The new features are probably things most of us can live without. And security isn't really a concern since outdated Android phones typically continue to receive security updates. I'm fairly sure a Galaxy Note 5 from 2015 has more customizability and features than the latest iPhone 1...

I really don't know what it is but I've only ever been able to get this look I like out of LG phones. The pictures tend to look more full and dense; more filmic than true to life.
[Here's another example ](https://i.imgur.com/WyKvhKr.jpg)of what I mean. The otherwise unremarkable image just feels rich and has a sense of atmosphere rather than just a clean capture of the scene.
Also, I know I have too many cats. It's fine.

A mysterious bug in the firmware of Google's Titan M chip (CVE-2019-9465)
Starting with the release of the Pixel 3, all of Google's Pixel Android smartphones come with the Titan M security chip on board. When I realized the Pixel 3a XL I purchased also had it, I decided to try to take advantage of it in an app I work on. It turned…

10-bit color depth video capture.
I want to have a discussion regarding video recording on current Android devices.
Both the snapdragon 855 and the new 865 have the ability to capture 10-bit video, and yet if you Google search for it you don't see anything that lets you do it, I think this could be the critical point of reaching video superiority vs the iphone.
We already have the option of video recording with higher bitrate thanks to apps like filmic, open camera, hedge cam, etc. And these apps also let you shoot in log, but...

Is anyone else here addicted to changing your Android's homescreeen layout?
Ever since I got my first tablet years ago, I've been constantly changing launchers, icon packs, and layouts several times a week. I'm never satisfied and I get bored of things really quick. I guess it's fun in a way, but it's kind of annoying tbh. Then I find myself switching to default because that way I don't have the option to change anything but then I really get annoying by choices made by the Android skin I'm using and I switch back to launchers again. Potentially looking to switch to Android...need some advice...
I’m a current Apple user and at work- everyone on my team (analytics to be vague) is an apple user- so the ecosystem has been easy to be involved in...especially with iMessage.
However- I’ve had an Apple device since 2014 and I’m bored and excited about the idea of a change. What am I in for?
Any Apple users who’ve made the switch that are 100% thrilled?
Any of you who aren’t and willing to speak up?
I’m willing to invest in a “flagship” model...and obviously enough I’m thinking of trying on...

At What Point Do Phones Start Plateauing?
At this point in time the 300$ phones are amazing compared to 5 or 10 years ago. The new phones being released are not changing much, fair enough because you can only change so much design wise or build wise.
We are going to reach a point where the only things to improve on are battery life and camera.
The average user cannot tell the difference past 1080p , hell I don't even care for 4k because on my old tv 1080 looks amazing already.
