What were some of the most outstanding phones you have had or still have?

And what was it that made them special?

For me, I have had many and these stand out:

\- HTC M7, was pretty badass for it's time, the speakers were absolutely amazing and the display, a 1080p in a 4,7 inch screen, the pixel density was soooo good. I still miss it to this day.

\- The M8 to a lesser degree.

\- The Lenovo P2, it was and still is the battery life king.

I know some of us don't like being tracked by the big man upstairs, but now more than ever it's useful to have this... If you see an infection case in the news that is around your area, you can check your location history to see if you were in contact or close to that person at that specific time when they were as well (assuming their travel history and time is given in the posts).

Can I complain about NFC, and their apparent ignoring of the competing substandards?

As a pretext here, most of you will not care, or ever experience the problems I am about to talk about. Most of these revolves are niche use-cases, international travel and interoperability, and the problems with standards, substandards, and manufacturers just not being transparent about their devices.
